Galaxy S - Can't open messages from one contact but rest are fine.

Since early this afternoon my Samsung Galaxy S has a rather odd fault. It won't display or let me open messages received from one of my contacts. I have received texts fine from this person before and even earlier in the day. They are just plain text messages, no pictures or attachments included. If I try to open the thread within messaging or from the notification in the notification bar, the screen just goes black then after a few seconds the phone vibrates, then pause for a few seconds and anothe vibrate then the screen comes back on and says there is a fault in the messaging process and I have to force close.

The annoying thing is I'm getting texts from other contacts and still receiving these okay and can read and reply to them no problem.

Any ideas how to solve this one?

My advice would be to give these steps a go:

*Delete all text messages from this contact.
* Remove the contact from the adress book.
*Switch the phone off, remove the battery and SIM card for a short while, replace and switch on again.
*Replace the contact.

Hopefully after having given these steps a try, you should have no more problems, I have come across it before!.
