Would this work?
Pineapple pizza. With BBQ base? With Domino's Double Decadence? With both? Hmmm

Why would it be a problem asking for it in Italy? Don't they import pineapples or tins of them like other countries? They seem happy enough to use tomatoes, peppers, chillies and olives on their pizza. Why not other fruit? |

We've just had a Pizza Express American, on offer in Sainsburys.
We added a chopped yellow pepper (which was in the fridge), some chilli oil, fresh basil and I grated parmesan cheese over it, ground black pepper and some Canarian Mojo sauce. It was lovely, and there was not a pineapple in sight! |

Just because some Italians think that they are purist going for a margharita doesn't mean that all the other toppins, including pineapple, are out of bounds. Tuna and sweetcorn have no place anywhere near a pizza though.... |

I've had Tuna Pizza in Italy. It was the bomb. I have never tasted such heaven on a Pizza. It had Onions and Olive Oil too.

Yumm hawaiian pizza. The good ones just ham and pineapple still my favorite, but now the keep wanting to add chicken to it. Chicken + Pineapple + Ham= too much, because the chicken is usually peppery or spiced funny.
I think deep dish crusts for pizza did originate here in the US, in Chicago, if that's what you mean by "deep pan." The best deep dish I've had was at a place called Lou Malnati's in Chicago, I want to try the original place started by Lou's father Pizzeria Uno, which is supposed to be the best and original deep dish place. Also I have a question for you British folks, do you more commonly refer to and do you know the origins of it as a pizza base or a pizza crust, because everytime I read you guys writing base I'm thrown for a loop for a second. I've only known it as a pizza crust. |

I thought Margarita pizza wasn't exactly authentic, that it was invented for Queen Margaret of Italy in the late 19th century and modelled on the Italian flag.

Pineapple, tuna on a pizza = ew! The only time I want some pineapple is when I am ordering a half and half and one half has jalapenos. I pick all the pineapple off and eat it between my spicy pizza slices, only time it is nice with a bit of savoury. Tuna is strictly for jacket potatoes and the occasional sandwich. No deep base, only thin. No pizza hut/express, dominoes only.

Strangely I really liked those Heinz baked bean pizzas you used to get, even though I normally can't stand their beans (or any others).

My current favourite Pizza Express pizza is the Giardinera (which used to be basically peas and peppers but is now much improved with artichokes and all sorts) with extra tuna and a healthy glob or two of chilli oil. |
