Hi all,

When I try and change channel, and use the guide, I get the option to watch the programme. I then get the message - do you want to watch the selected programme, I answer yes. The channel does not change if the programme has already started.... Any ideas why?

Thanks.

A rather annoying one at that.

I hope they'll sort it out in the upcoming update.

Pressing OK on a current programme in the epg on my hdr goes straight to the programme. Latest firmware 1.0.13 but it's always worked like that.

Mine does as well, but I have seen this before (her in doors pointed it out to me) - it must be a combination of circumstances - I would recommend trying a power cycle to see if that cures it or not.

But is that while currently watching a recording or a different channel live?

It's an intermittent bug.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I would recommend trying a power cycle to see if that cures it or not.
I don't think my box has been power cycled in over a year and the bug is still there sometimes and not others - worth a try, of course.

It's most annoying if you miss the start of the first programme of a series as it means you can't set up the series link until the next episode (which, for something shown once a week, will not be there, of course).

The epg has 8 days of data so it should be there otherwise a weekly series won't update immediately after recording

It's strange, but pressing the OK button now works (I don't get the option to watch/record the programme - nor the 2nd prompt that asks me whether I want to watch the reserved programme. I've not powered the box off since it wasn't working yesterday. Seems intermittent....

It's probably time related, at a guess the programme must have been on air for at least 30 seconds before it's considered current. Never seen this in the over 2 yrs I have had the box.

So, I might have found the issue... Feedback required

When I tried again tonight, got the same message. However, while I was viewing the guide, the tv programme being broadcast was not shown, due to 'receiving programme information'. When the tv programme was finally being shown, and the box was no longer receiving programme information - I could change the channel using the 'OK' button. Anybody else?

Well of course that is another bug in that you can be watching live TV with no active recordings yet it will insist on using the same tuner to gather EPG info and blanking the current channel.
