Tried to record Father Ted Night...
I set this to record on my Humax Freesat+ box but found it would miss the very beginning of some parts (lke the start of the Speed 3 episode)
I know the start times on those kind of things is approximate but I thought if I had a PVR it would start exactly on time ![]() A bit annoyed TBH

There are a few reasons why the box might miss the start.
The most common is that the the tuner allocated for the recording is recording a programme that overuns the start time of the second recording, in this event the media list will have a failed recording lightning strike icon. The second is that the broadcaster sent the change of running status late. Because ITV flag the change at the end of the ads after a programme finishes a follow up recording on a different channel often has a bit chopped of the beginning. |

I recorded this on my Topfield Freeview PVR as one merged recording with bookmarks at the putative changes of programme. Yes, they were a bit out. If doing this on my Foxsat I would have manually edited the timer for the first programme to span all the others.
