Everyone is happy, Syed and Christian are celebrating the birth of their baby on christmas eve, Zainab invites them to dinner. The Mitchells are united as one, The Brannings and the Butchers have a big family meal and everyone remembers the good times. Dot and Jim remember the good old days, and as Dot talks, Jim passes away in his sleep. Ian and Jane spend Christmas abroad with Lucy and Peter. Kat and Alfie celebrate their first christmas with Tommy and Spencer, who returned on Christmas eve with his girlfriend and baby, along with Little and Big Mo. Sharon makes a dramatic return and falls into Phil's arms, whilst Shirley is happy with the menage-a-trois.

Everyone goes out into the Square dancing and skipping along in the snow, with that Wizzard song playing in the background

if phil and sharon got back together it would be predictable and boring. phil trying to make it work with shirley is far more interesting

Wow! I just watched that and yes that was a very happy Christmas! Not like the ones we have nowadays!

All that had to happen was for Mickey and that girl he was smiling at to kiss and that would have been perfect ending for everyone
