What are you on....its just a thumped up dance track.....it isn't really catchy I don't think and is just a re-tread of the previous two albums, frankly its disappointing.

I wasn't impressed with it. Reminded me a bit of 'Shattered Glass'. The lyrics are appalling! "You feel like a paradise, and I need a vacation tonight'?! WTF?! Sorry Brit, you're loosing your touch.

I'm not on anything
I honestly thought it was fantastic, and to be honest I don't tend to listen to the lyrics; I thought the beat was just to be honest. Lyrics are naff yeah, but c'mon, its rare to find decent ones nowadays. So yah, I love it it's a good pop/dance track, i'll take it for what it is and enjoy it ^-^

Ermm!?! Really really nothing special imo.
Why if she supposedly can sing does she use Autotune all the time? I don't get it. Surely wouldn't you just want to blow people away with vocals rather than the beat of a song (which is nothing special)?

As I said in the other Britney thread it's a major disapointment; and I can only hope it grows on me.

Its better than i thought, but its still a disapointment. She may have simply lost it, i mean Womanizer was nothing fab.

I'm disappointed and I'm a huge Britney fan. It's too remixy sounding to me.

Very disappointing. It is just so generic. If anyone but Britney had brought this out then it wouldn't have been praised so much.

I'm a big Britney fan but I have to admit this song sounds a bit too much like something Ke$ha would have released.

bah more of the same from her shes not passionate about her lyrics there all generic songs theres no attachment when i listen that techno really took over some of the track and not in a good way IMO
really if someone like lisa scott lee sang this it would be classed as completly terrible but because its simply britney it will do well im waiting for gagas single to leak honestly just like back in the late 90s britney took over madonna and madonna just released crap i think the same think is happening now between gaga and britney during the late nouties sorry spears but your sh!t to me anyways and i will hold it against you

I was not expecting it to be as brilliant as it is, at all. Dr Luke and Max Martin really did a good job with those. What I am most pleased about is that they haven't auto tuned her to death like they did in 3. I love it, it's exceeded my expectations, and I have no doubt that this will be a worldwide smash. It's generic in that it is yet another dance tune, but at the same time the beat is different to what is hitting number one today. The lyrics are nothing special, but the play on words with "hold it against me" is clever, it's a good hook.
Considering how well she delivered the vocals (by that I mean she's more than just singing some lyrics), I cannot wait to see the video and performances of this. PS-The breakdown is a cracker! |

Liked the breakdown. Everything else is just your usual Dance-Pop shite that's oversaturated the charts

Pretty good on first listen. I do think its a shame she's staying with dance sound. Would like to hear more Toxic like songs again.

Its OK but she can do way better. I'm not a big fan of hers but she's a great pop star and has made some great pop songs over the years. |

She'll pass it off to the americans as new and edgy because they're only just catching on to the dance scene. This crap's been done a billion times before in Europe. Quote:
