Britney is always hated on though. The song's success will speak for itself.

Britney's done it again.... musically she has never failed to deliver... I'm just happy that with this new song she has decided to progress her music to the next level, and be a little more experimental..... Definitely another smash on her hands.

Now just can't wait for the video.

BEAUTIFUL SONG
But it doesn't top Gimme More. Nothing will though!

The demo did sound very Ke$ha, but Britney's version doesn't. It sounds like a growth from Circus/Blackout, the fact Ke$ha sounds like Circus isn't Britney's fault.

Personally I think "If I said I want Your Body Now, Would You Hold It Against Me" Will go up there with "It's Britney Bitch" as one of her most memorable lines from a song and instantly recognisable and memorable. Even from the demo it stood out as a brilliant hook into the song that would stick in peoples minds.

I like this style of music, but I don't think this is anything better than average.

there is no catchy chorus, no big explosive moment (see the first chorus of Rihanna's Only Girl for comparison) and its just all a bit forgettable.

whereas her biggest tunes such as Hit Me Baby, Ooops and even Gimme More were unforgettable on first listen.

The more I listen to it the more I like it but I do agree it is rather forgettable, or at least not instantly memorable oh well not every song is.

Also I don't understand all the acclaim for Gimme More imo that is easily her worst single.

The more I listen (on repeat for about 3 hours :| lmao) the more I love it. Her voice sounds fantastic, the base is pulsating, the synths are euphoric, the verses build to a anthem of a chorus, the breakdown is so bassy, so grimey. pop puuurfection.

Definitely better than the demo. The production is pretty amazing, elevating the song to a MUCH higher level...but I don't think it saves it completely because the melody/lyrics are quite average (for Britney).

It was always going to be a hit, but I don't think it's going to be one of her iconic numbers. The dubstep smoke and mirrors are certainly making people instantly grab hold, but I'm thinking it might ultimately be quite a hollow and unsatisfying song. Same happened with 3. I'm already getting a bit bored with it after the 5th repeat listen and a few days with the demo.

Completely agree.

I really don't know what a lot of people expected from her this time round... it's the first single, but with the blackout era, I much preferred Piece of Me to Gimme More, so maybe the majority will prefer a second single?

God forbid if Gaga doesn't live up to the hype.. the world will be in meltdown

I love it...gave it 5/5 on my blog!

Dubstep meets Britney with an epic breakdown in the middle, it's for the dancers and it's 2011 Britney....just wish she looked a bit happier about it all I guess.

Can't wait for the video too....

What I find very odd about this song is how it has such a commanding beat, yet the beat itself actually drops out for the chorus. It makes the actual chorus seem like a bridge - especially the first one because the beat turns even more grimy straight after it.

Didn't like it at first, had it on repeat for about an hour & I love it now. It's definitely a grower!

actually after 1st listen i felt not so excited by it but after a few listens its a proper grower and im really liking it, it's different to what she has released before which is why people might not be worming to it as much

I was hoping for something original, like the way Blackout was completely unique compared to other pop at the time, and to an extent Britney has delivered.

The mix of house, pop, dance and dubstep is incredible - pretty much have the track on repeat on my iTunes right now!

will she just go away?

i still don't understand why people love her? she's not that amazing.

she's not even someone you'd want to have a half naked calendar of.. though i must say, the bald look really did it for me.

Britney is going nowehere, she's an outstanding performer that makes fantastic pop music and a genuinly wonderfull person, probably why people love her.

Not to mention stunningly beautiful and sexy.

I really wanted to like this, I love Britney I think it's a bit generic for her. Her voice always adds to a song though, so I definitely prefer it to the demo!

Agree with whoever said it sounds like an album track rather than lead single, which is supposed to be the best on the album. I'll still buy the album, but I genuinely think many album tracks from her past albums in this style are better than this song.

Hope it's #1 anyway and I'll play it to death until I like it I WILL force myself!
