Agree with whoever said it sounds like an album track rather than lead single, which is supposed to be the best on the album. I'll still buy the album, but I genuinely think many album tracks from her past albums in this style are better than this song.

Hope it's #1 anyway and I'll play it to death until I like it I WILL force myself! ”

you'll like it! don't know what you mean by generic though there aint nothing like it out there! that's why I love it (well ONE reason why i do!)

but yeah the best music either instantly hits you or lures you in for more or grows with each listen!

Got it on YouTube release and I still don't like it, but don't hate it anymore. It might actually be good if it didn't have that awful remix music running all the way through.

The general music buying public are not going to play a song to death untill they like it like I am, so I hope for her sake the general public like it more then I (a Britney fan from the begining) does.

Pretty much how I feel, though I never hated it.

Songs like this, I hope fail. No offense to Britney fans, especially after she re-released Radar, I was so glad that flopped, because it deserves to be punished for being a bonus track on Circus, then citing it a single release. Jive and Britney were so determined for it to be a single for some reason. Anyway, back to HIAM, no, I don't reckon this would do successfully in the charts. She can do better.

No need to get uppity. HIAM is Kesha lite. Don't like my opinion just scroll down.

I'm still hoping for the video she does a dance break! And Brings it. I wanna see Britney/Rihanna on top this year. HIAM will still sell well, i just don't like it all that much.

It took a good month before i liked Loud and now it's closing down on Rated R as my fave Riri album so i'm not gonna judge Britney's album until i give it more than a few listens.

I hope the whole album won't be dupstep-inspired. I quite liked it on Freakshow but I hate it here. If the song had more of a 3-style, pure pop production, I'd like it a lot more.

But other than disliking the dubstep/breakdown parts, I think its a good song.

Why would you put a song you didn't like on repeat for a hour?

You must have liked it a bit.

That doesn't make any sense.

I don't get this "i want to like it so I'm gonna listen until I do" thing on this thread, it's not the end of the world if you don't like a song.

Hmmm, it's not that great.

Awful song. But will still be number 1. If people didnt buy it, she would be forced to write better material to remain successful.

Did you mean: she would be forced to force her songwriters to write better material for her to remain successful?

I'm already kind of bored of the song after 27 and 12 plays for the demo and final, respectively. It's just not grabbing me by the balls like a lead single should.

Hopefully the video will reignite some love for it, or they'll have a fantastic second single. Failing that, I feel Britney's album will just be a casual listen for me to fill time until Gaga unleashes Born This Way.

Lol! I would never do that, but I understand why people do do that. I think it's because people either know or think that some songs will grow on them, especially if they didn't like it the first time round, so they force the liking method themselves so that it takes less time for them, to enjoy the song rather than let it happen organically; listening to it on the radio etc. which would take longer.

But regarding this song, I really like it, found it so catchy and very old-school Britney. Yes, comparing it to Piece of Me or Toxic, it's not that great; but on it's own, I think it's really good.

AMAZIN Song

I'm dissapointed, after everything that she and the producers were saying about it, it feels like a let down. The song feels like it's leading to a big, amazing ending, the whole way through which never comes. It feels way too safe for Britney whose been doing this for over a decade and it is IMO generic. But it will do well because it's britney, but for me, this is a very mediocre song.

Because I'm a big fan and have been anticipating this for ages. So rather than just listening once, I gave it a chance to grow on me and it did.

Crap song - let's be honest. Hopefully the remixes save it.

It's a good disco-stomper, but an average song at best.

Hmm, is anyone else loving it but at the same time hating it? I adore the chorus, I think it's classic Britney, but I'm not keen on how dance influenced the rest of the song is.
I wish the rest of the song was more in line with the chorus, which is super catchy and quickly infects your mind.

On a 2nd listen, I'm actually starting to like it.

It isn't fantastic, but it isn't terrible. It's an alright song, more of an album filler, but still good.

I listened because I like to keep an eye on thing which are "big" just our of curiosity and the song songs dated already, like some cheap eurodance song from someone you only hear of once.

It seems like she's jumped on the dance bandwagon which other female acts have; Kelis, Rihanna, Kelly Roland etc...

And based on this song, has swiftly fallen off it.
