MTV are doing a UK version of Jersey Shore with Lime Pictures
The title....I kid you not...Geordie Shore (no prizes for guessing where it's filmed) Casting folk have been around the pubs and clubs and the Student Union bar at Northumbria |

Re Millionaire, live specials now and again is perhaps the best way to go. TBH I would have stripped that live special across that week before Xmas. It'd need to be done sparingly though.

Note: According to a comment on Broadcast, ITV1 +1 is not being reported by BARB, yet. (or at least yesterday from 8pm onwards wasn't, anyway...)

you can hope, but do you think its fake?
but as has been pointed out, the mentioning of a production company makes it more concrete though it's possible they (Wall To Wall) might be trying to drum up interest in the project by leaking to Star that they're making it. They then contact ITV to see if they're interested and hope something progress from there

It's back:
Top Gear (Motoring) BBC 2 Midlands Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 8:00pm to 9:00pm And yes, it is a new series directly against Lark Rise to Candleford and Dancing on Ice. Now that should be an interesting battle. |

4m? And what drama will ITV play after the three part series on Thursday nights? Will it be Marchlands? |

So Married, Single, Other flopped last year, sort of. So what do ITV do? That's right... think of bringing Cold Feet back. I'm not kidding, either: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...-approach.html

LOL at the Downton tie-in news. As inevitable as the sun coming up tomorrow.
I may not have been far wrong with my "Downton Hospital" gag the other week. ![]() "Hit show, 10m viewers - milk it for all it's worth". You just know that from August we will be getting a month's worth of Downton-this, Downton-that to whip up a frenzy before it returns, whilst damaging the brand. Killing the goose that lays the golden egg - something, at least, that ITV still excels in. LOL #2 at Taggart's 2.6m, losing out to Carling Cup footie on BBC2 too! |

I agree they should sit down and sort it all out but you really can't say it's past it's glory days. Being Scottish or not, this series of Taggart is the best I've seen in years! Its really gripping this time around and if people continue to watch it they will soon find out there is a story growing in the background that comes to a head at the end! brilliant!
Maybe you could oblige? |

according to the Sun newspaper.....
I read that this morning on the way to work. I can see ITV being desperate enough to try, no matter how difficult it would to shoehorn in Helen Baxendale

Sadly not everyone agrees with you & chose not to watch. I have not seen one single glowing review of the "new" Taggart in the Scottish press or national press.
Maybe you could oblige? ''It's not surprising that a show gets better with age but Taggart - unlike most fine wines - never seems to go past its drink-by date.It just keeps on improving infinitely ''The only person seemingly untouched by the winds of time was DS Jackie Reid (Blythe Duff) who has seemed to be ancient ever since she stepped out of the police academy.'' |

Writing in today's Daily Express their TV critic Matt Bayliss (a former EE scriptwriter) says
