Wow that's bad for the Wallender repeat. Although it doesn't come anywhere near the record low for the BBC1 Sunday 9pm slot after that run of Modern Masters last year, which was down to 1.5m some weeks.

Good figures for the UK transmission of the Super Bowl. Up around 200k on last year.
[Edit: Super Bowl currently 5th most popular on Iplayer - interesting]

Are there any Australian figures for the Super Bowl?

I looked but they haven't made any of the daily charts. Its audience must have been miniscule. (below 100k)

Daybreak has settled around 0.7m now; Breakfast between 1.5m and 1.8m depending on what sort of news day it is.

The other ITV1 shows are normally around 1.2m, with Kyle a tad higher. Still loses out to BBC1 though.

So ITV have spent millions on Daybreak and are back where they started with an audience no bigger than GMTV despite all the spin from the ITV press office. Since Daybreak dawned BBC Breakfast has actually increased its audience

So most of this "millions" was spent buying out the Disney share - right?

Since that deal was done on a times earnings multiple - surely the payback will be largely the same as expected if the audience figures remain roughly the same as they did for GMTV?

Also i notice you never actually answer my question re CRR and Daybreak - I suppose you dont really want to get into hard numbers when postingf a few is most dramatic.

One more time then - is Daybreak subject to CRR constraints or are they free to sell advertising based solely on the demographic mix?

Surely this will affect your statement that Daybreak is generating less ad revenue than GMTV? If its outside CRR there will be less of a ratchet effect from a lower share and ad revenue may even be up if the demographics are more favourable versus the GMTV profile?

Biggest Loser must have come close to winning its slot.

Tonight will be interesting; could end up being ITV and BBC under 4m and C4 near to 8m.

I was thinking the same last night, after managing about 3 minutes of Outcasts, (what a turkey ) I figured it could dip REALLY low tomorrow, and with nothing else on (Thank God for Boardwalk Empire!!) Gypsy Wedding could get 8m+

Disappointing start for Outcasts, they must've been hoping for 5m+ given how much they've promoted it and the cast involved. It's only downhill from here onwards, I suspect. The Biggest Loser inching its way upwards to another series high - it didn't benefit much by Silent Witness' absence (+0.2m week on week) but if Outcasts falls over the next few weeks, there's no reason why TBL can't continue moving up as it heads towards its final.

Solid rating for One Born Every Minute to be over 3m (inc. +1) and on C5, an excellent performance for the Royal Navy documentary. Good night for C5 with 1m+ in the 8pm hour against the soaps (and better than how The Gadget Show was doing) and then a 2m+ rating at 9pm.

Quite low all round apart from the SOAPS.
But FIVE done OK for 9PM.

The Biggest Loser could be overtaking Outcasts in a week or two, maybe even in the consolidated ratings for this week.

Clearly the result of both main networks putting out rubbish at 9pm, and generally a poor showing across the board in that slot.

Not good, but hardly disastrous, for Outcasts. I never expected great numbers, it is sci-fi at the end of the day and probably many people will have confused it with Survivors, which they don't watch anyway.

I didn't think it was as catastrophic as the previews made out, it was simply a bit dull, depressing and not very engaging. But hardly a turkey. I wouldn't be surprised if it holds on to its core, sci-fi geek audience of c4m, but clearly that is not acceptable for that slot on BBC1.

Very poor scheduling. Why not save it for August, and air Waking the Dead as a follow on from Silent Witness and whilst ITV1 is still weak?

It's really good news for C5 (and the other smaller networks) that BBC One and ITV1 are putting such weak programmes in the Monday 9pm slot. A year ago on Monday 8th February, Law and Order: UK and Hustle had a combined audience share of 43%. Nearly half the available viewers between them! Last night the two channels had a combined share of just shy of 34% as viewers seeked out better alternatives.

Episodes seems to be very slowly building, plus it will have its HD figures to add in.

I was non-plussed by the first episode, but it is growing on me. It's actually a very good and funny show and not just an industry in-joke.

It deserves twice the audience it is getting.

Interesting night. Outcasts well below my expectations-new dramas tend to launch with a lot more, especially considering SW had 7m in the same slot last week. EE seems a bit low on BBC1 too.

TBL didn't seem to get much of a boost really and seems to be around the 4m mark whatever. It will be interesting to see if it gets recomissioned, because if it does it will undoubtedly fall whatever slot it is put in, unless it remains on Mondays. Emmerdale & the first Corrie's shares still strong.

Solid night for Ch4 with OBEM continuing to do well and Chatty Man performing respectably. Hollyoaks seems to have fallen back with a pretty poor share though.

Ch5 seemed to benefit in primetime-Emergency Bikers benefiting from Ch4 airing Dispatches again and Royal Navy put in an excellent perfomance-it's been a long time since a factual programme hit 2m in the 9pm slot, probably not since The Hotel inspector. On the other hand H&A seems to be continuing to fall and that is a worringly low share. I can't remember it ever having a share that low in a normal slot. I watched it for the first time in a long time on Friday and it was actually half decent, but without many of the classic characters left it seems to have lost its identity. It needs Kate Ritchie back imo.

I was surprised H&A was so low for a series premiere, especially after Friday's great episode. Still no title sequence (groan) but they've updated the intro and end credits a bit, so a mini refresh.

To be fair to Channel 5, they've been promoting it a hell of a lot. They are really trying to build its audience back up, but so far to no avail. Sally's return would definitely provide a boost, but that doesn't look likely to happen at the moment, which is a shame.

Also interesting that Zoo Days did no better than Live From Studio Five. OK! TV is going to have its work cut out inheriting a smaller lead-in than you would typically expect from H&A, and airing in a slot that has blighted Channel 5 for years.

I did not make any comment about the advertising revenue. You will be delighted to see the Daybreak audience reached a whopping 800,000 yesterday putting it on a par with some local news programmes.

Seems like Channel 4 and Five benefited most (and will probably benefit further in coming weeks) from the Outcasts rating. Bet BBC are hoping that it doesn't drop below 4m tonight, but I can see just that happening.
