^ It amazes me at how popular repeats of this show are, especially on Saturdays! Last Saturday must have been one of Ch4's best rating in ages.

Yes the BBC will have coverage once again. It's a bit odd that C4 have nothing to do with the Superbowl though given they have the regular NFL coverage. It is my understanding that the BBC contract is coming to an end (might be the last year actually) so maybe C4 will take it over thereafter.

![]() I feel sorry for anyone who's partner has this show on series link. ![]() ...shocking that Ch4 are producing so much new content in one week ..I guess the teatime figures are showing viewers want it though as they seem to do better than the primetime showings, probably a perfect teatime watch actually.

Did Channel 4 really show over 6 hours of new Come Dine With Me in a single week?

Broadcast has Top Gear's rating as 6.25m. This includes the HD rating. From Broadcast: Top Gear returns with 6.25m Quote:
SUNDAY: The new series of Top Gear revved into action in front of more than 6m viewers across BBC2 and BBC HD - just 2,000 viewers behind BBC1 drama Lark Rise to Candleford.
The motoring show, presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, shot off the starting line with an audience of 5.5m (18.2%) on BBC2 over the 8pm hour. An additional 753,700 (2.49%) watched the first instalment of the 16th series on BBC HD, which including dropping a Volkswagen Beetle from a helicopter, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional. |

The fact the Superbowl is on the Beeb isn't that unusual - C4's NFL coverage only started this season, and the Superbowl rights are sold separately. In fact NFL in the UK is on four channels, the Beeb, C4, Sky and ESPN, which I think is partly because the NFL want more exposure in the UK so give it away for peanuts. |

An interesting fact (caution: may not be interesting) is that the Superbowl has been on all five terrestrial channels, which I think is the only sporting event to have done so. It was on C4 for many years, of course, from 1983 to 1998, then after that it was on Sky exclusively for a bit with highlights on C5, before C5 showed it live in 2003 and 2004. ITV got it in 2005 - after they lost the Premier League and were buying up anything that wasn't nailed down, they bought the Boat Race at the same time - and then it moved to the Beeb in, I think, 2008, first on BBC2 and then on BBC1.

Source: Attentional. BBC3 must be very disappointed with that figure for Being Human given all the publicity it's had. Isn't it lower than S2? In contrast, Wogan performed better than I thought it would and got some good reviews this morning. DOI - what more can I say. ![]() Thanks for the ratings.

Not sure. Last year's 7-day official figure for the S2 opener was only 1.61m so it may not be too far off?

K I watched last night and loved it, as usual, but it did strike me that its still a pretty niche old offering. Any show that sends two of its main characters (one of which is a mass murderer) lurking round pugatory is probably never going to achieve mass popularity. And thats to say nothing of the cage fighting... -- On the main channels last night, well still very strong for both BBC One and ITV1. Very strong for Top Gear with a sizeable chunk of that audience taking the HD option now. And TG can usually help a solid 9pm offering past the 3m mark, as it did in this case. Incidentally, what did BBC HD run at 9pm - Bruce Parry or Being Human? |

BARB hasn't classified ITV1 +1 at the top of its schedule alongside C4 + 1.
C4 + 1 has never been included in the Other viewing total and ITV1 + 1 should be treated the same for consistency. Having said that it looks like a mess has been made of the whole thing as the Other total of 42.8 does not add up. http://www.barb.co.uk/report/weeklyViewing?_s=4 The main C4 is also missing off the summary on the front page. http://www.barb.co.uk/index/index EDIT: Graph also not updated for C4: http://www.barb.co.uk/graph/viewingShare?_s=4 |
