Some already mentioned but the full round-up:

Scripted:

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) - 3.17m (1.2)
Being Human (Syfy) - 2.14m (0.9)
Skins (MTV) - 1.58m (0.7)
Greek (ABC Family) - 0.90m (0.4)

Pretty Little Liars comfortably beat The CW's new episodes of 90210 and Gossip Girl in all target demos. Unsurprisingly, ABCF aren't touting those numbers for Greek. It's not even holding onto a third of its lead-in, appalling considering the PLL lead-in.

NBC was beaten in the demo by History and its sister network, USA, in the 9pm hour which had a 1.8 and 4.94m for WWE Raw, rising to a 1.9 and 4.87m at 10pm.

I'm surprised how well American Pickers and Pawn Stars do, guess you can't guess the tastes of the American viewer plus it helps that the NFL is over on Mondays until the Autumn. Would be interesting how a similar series would do in the UK, surprised that BBC Two or Five haven't commisioned a series or bought either show.

Being Human benefited from positive WOM hence the increase.

Big Fat Gypsy Weddings:

6.0m - C4
1.0m - C4 +1
Total = 7.0m

Source: Michael Rosser, Broadcast reporter

Brilliant rating for it, against arguably tougher opposition than last week. 1m also, I believe, breaks the record for a '+1 channel', so superb all around, again for Channel 4. Peak will be near 8m, which I think deserves an .

1 million on Channel4 +1 easily breaks the +1 record of 746k, which incidentally, was set by Gypsy Weddings last week.

Amazing ratings for Gypsy Weddings last night, although not too surprising as kind of expected it to rise, still amazing ratings.

Wow, it nearly won the 9pm slot! Football clearly denting BBC1, I presume ITV1 between 8pm and 10pm was too low to record. Emmerdale seems a touch low as well.

Its strange to see C4 have such a massive hit on its hands again. I fear they will now do what they do to all shows that become hits - milk it until no more. More series, longer, moving to 10pm to increase more adverts, spin offs and so on.

Based on the fact that its lower than last week, Channel 4 must have beaten it in the primetime shares as I imagine C4 were beating ITV1 from 9pm to 11pm, as Taggart was near to 2m, I suspect News at Ten was under 2m, therefore losing out to Shameless.

Lowest figure for News at Ten in a long time, unsurprising considering the really bad lead in. Thanks Mike.

EastEnders does seem low, wow for Gypsy Wedding, but ITV that is low even by recent standards

Record lows for Taggart and CSI. Not good.

At least Channel 5's documentary rated well at 8pm. Slightly redeems the night a bit for them.

Obviously a sensational figure for Gypsy Weddings. I'm not surprised it grew, I had a feeling it might through word of mouth etc.

The football on BBC Two also rated well.

pretty sure Five will keep CSI until CBS axe it, even if they shift the final series to Five USA, but really CSI is dependable, and Five could and have done alot worse,

Channel 4 top programs of 2011 so far:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------- C4 -------------- C4 +1 ----------- C4 Official
01: Big Fat Gypsy Weddings 25/01/11 --------- 6.0m (22.3%) -------- 1.0m ------------------------
02: Shameless 10/01/11 ------------------------------ 3.1m (15.8%) -------- 355k --------------- 4.05m
03: FILM: premiere: Iron Man 2/01/11 --------- 3.0m (12.1%) -------- 561k --------------- 3.39m
04: Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2010 3/01/11 ---- 2.7m (12.9%) -------- 400k -------------- 3.34m
05: Mary Portas: Secret Shopper 19/01/11 -- 2.7m (11.1%) -------- 349k ---------------------------
06: Britain's Fattest Man 5/01/11 ----------------- 2.6m (11.3%) -------- 334k --------------- 3.01m
07: One Born Every Minute 10/01/11 ----------- 2.6m (9.7%) ---------- 302k --------------- 3.19m

Last year's chart for comparison (there were no new entries after that post).

C4 and C4 +1 are overnight ratings, C4 official are from the Barb website.
All overnight ratings are averages for the full slot running time, rounded to 1 decimal place.
Shows are ranked in order of overnight ratings.
Each show only gets one mention in the list.

There's a Come Dine With Me (22nd Jan) that might sneak in at the bottom but I don't have the overnight rating for it, everything else is fine though.

From Broadcast:

Quote:
“It peaked with 7.11m (27.08%) in the final five minutes.”

Don't think that peak includes +1 as it averaged 7.03m (27.7%) with +1 included.

Quote:
“In the 9pm hour on Wednesday it beat all the other terrestrials, with the exception of Silent Witness, which gripped 6.11m (22.6%) on BBC1 and BBC1 HD. However, Big Fat Gypsy Weddings’ audience did overtake BBC1 from 9.30pm to 10pm.”

At a reputed cost of £500k - £600k an episode its not far off the cost of Taggart or Silent Witness per hour. So if Taggart doesn't get recommissioned (even with a cost share between UKTV and STV) why would you keep CSI?

Ratings aren't everything for a commercial station - cost per viewer must enter the equation too.

EastEnders clearly dented by the Football and Nodoubt the 7:28 start didn't help either but still a good rating.

Gypsy wedding was quite good and it seems to be getting people talking so im not surprised at it's rating

you have a point, that isnt cheap, even if it is the back bone of FiveUSA.

Still we have yet to hear anything really strong from Desmond for primetime on Channel 5, he may end up needing it to keep the ratings respectable, when OK TV flops even harded than Live From Studio Five.

Looks like the new serial Taggart's are not a hit with the viewers, 2.1m is truly awful!

It finished at 7.57.07secs last night so the tape checked rating will be higher.

It was clear the press wasn't going to affect such a big show like EastEnders.
It's very rarely below 9million these days anyway
