I loved this new version of a classic 60s track, when it was released in 1983- but it did very little, chartwise.

Naked Eyes-Always Something There To Remind Me

If anyone else here used to listen to Annie Nightingale on Radio One on Sunday evenings, you will very likely recall this weird song that got regularly played on there in the early 80s.

The song from the end titles of one of the best films of the 80's, "The Sure Thing":-

Woowoowoowoowoowoo.. Barbra Steisand!

The group Duck Sauce apparently used artwork from her 1980 album Guilty produced by Barry Gibbs of the Bee Gees which featured her best known hit Women In Love. But for me the last track is a forgotten masterpiece. It has a great jazzy build up to one of the best endings to a song I've ever heard. Listen from 5:20 onwards to see what I mean.

Barbra Streisand - Make It Like A Memory

I'll be quite surprised if anyone's heard (of) this:

Cruella De Ville - Gypsy Girl

They had one performance on "The Tube", IIRC.

I love 'Muck It Out' too but I can't find it either, it's my favourite song by The Farmers Boys.
I've got 'Phew Wow' which is also a brilliant song.
A totally different song I totally love is 'Where's Romeo' by Cava Cava.

What a fascinating thread. Lots of great stuff.

Sadly the song that sprang to mind first has yet to appear. A hit in the US but not over here (I think).

I particularly liked Phew Wow and am glad you have mentioned it here.

The Motels song I knew and liked was The Days are OK. I couldn't find a version on Youtube but there is another recording here http://www.we7.com/#/song/The-Motels...r-Love--Atomic

Another lost 80s classic I like from 1983 but can't find on Youtube is Michael Cretu with Today Today. However, I have located it here. http://www.4shared.com/audio/W4kO-Cs...day_today.html
