My favourite track on there is this Adventures' criminally non-charting stormer, Two Rivers.

It's also a shame that everyone remembers Amazulu today for (aside from the singer's hair) their cover of 'Too Good To Be Forgotten', when their 1985 original calypso hit Excitable was IMO the better and funkier tune.”

The only thing i know about Amazulu was from when they were on The Young Ones. I liked Rik's conversation with Vivyan's hamster. Rik: Amazulu! Hamster: Really? Am a Glaswegian!

Yeah she turned out quite a lady-I remember there was this movement of PC 'people' in the States who tried to get Sheena and Madonna banned from record shops.

yeah, that was al gores wife tipper gore (what a name), who started the PMRC who were responsible for the parental advisory stickers

it started when she borrowed her daughters walkman that had a copy of the album 1999 by the purple sex dwarf (who later changed his name to a scribble so he could release even more filth and pretend it wasn't him), and was shocked when she heard the filthy pervert saying "i sincerely want 2 duck the taste out of your mouth" (although the real word only rhymed with the feathered friend), and checked the lyrics and it wasn't on it, but she noticed some of the other lyrics and called up her friends to find out that they all had kids being corrupted by listening to perverted music like the purple rain soundtrack

they drew up a list called the filthly fifteen that had no less than 3 prince related tracks in the top 5, with the mucky midget at number 1 with darling nikki from the purple rain soundtrack, and a song he pulled out the bin and gave to a weedgie he fancied was at number 2. the song is supposedly about a sweetie shop, but the dirty buggers at the PMRC thought sugar walls related to the insides of a ladys private bits. what an imagination!

at number 4 is the bird who got booted off purple rain when the mini egomaniac got a new bird and put her in the film instead and got her babs oot for the lads. vanity then got everything out for the lads in playboy and her song strap on robbie baby in the list. no-one knows what the song is about, presumably it's about a safety harness for a pushchair, but the bored housewives thought it sounded a bit pervy and stuck it on the list

in between the prince songs in the top 5 you have the band that shocked heavy metal fans when the lead singer came out as gay. for some reason the heavy metal fans didn't notice that he dressed like a clone, and didn't even click when the similarly styled freddie mercury was outted. for some reason when george michael wore a clone outfit in the video for bad boys, he didn't fool anyone apart from 13 year old girls who wanted the same lady di hairdo as he had in the last christmas video

When they do the 80's bits on chanel 369 Vintage TV, they do seem to look for more unusual ones. Right now, I'm watching Red Box -Lean On Me.

I can't remember seeing that on VH1 or it's ilk.
