Why is it ALWAYS bum --> face lol! ...

I know what you mean. Stalker and Spirit love sitting on me bottom in my face all the time. Guinness just lays on you and squashes you though

Isnt the bum in the face meant to be a sign of trust? Both my cats do it when they want to sit on lap will be bum in the face with their tail straight up so I can see right up their exit hole

Amber doesn't sit on us, she merely climbs over us because we are obvioulsy in the way

She does, however, come to bed with me every night and is very good with the bum to face thing and rarely does it anymore

On occasions I wake up to find my cats tea towel holder pressing up to my neck.

Bum it the face makes it easier for you to sniff it Its a compliment really.

Our cat Bagpuss has to get his head as far up in your neck as possible, he is such a baby ever at 15 yrs old

Isnt it also something to do with when they were kittens? ie: mum cat inspecting their bottoms and cleaning them! So really they are asking you to inspect their bums.

I've used that saying for yonks.. You just look at those things you press your teatowel in and it just looks like pusscats bum.....

I find you get the same effect when opening a jar of hotdogs.

am never going to look at a hotdog in the same way again!

surely they do it because they want to look at whatever you're looking at....

My cat freakily licks people. So she wants to face any bare flesh she can find. Not nice.

My cat used to walk across the back of my shoulders while I was sat watching tele and stop with his bum practically on my cheek. The bit that used to really freak me out was his tail wrapping itself over the top of my head.

The last time he did that was ages ago and he flew like he had wings, I don't think he'd even try to do it again now even if he wanted to

I always made sure my Impossible Princess slept at the bottom of the bed.

Its so funny though isnt it? They sit on you and start getting comfy, ie the kneeding for about an hour... especially if your wearing *fleecy tracks or fleecy top*....then it goes on for ages.....then they decide after about an hour they will sit on your lap..

It takes them ages to realise you don't produce milk where they knead.
