I think a lot of them see it as both bragging riights and another way of trying ot get to Matt .. ie the ability to dm stuff to pass on to him
like other's I've never asked anyone for a follow and I've never abused the DM facility by DM'ing any "celeb" unless I'm responding to a DM from them

Matt was struggling with his voice cannot believe he came out in the final an sang like he did!!
Pleased to see ALI who tipped him of that the natives were getting restless..MITA!!
From what he said Matt is not recording at the mo but is having meetings and writing which is all good.. with no gigs to do not surprised he has some free time on his hand to visit watering holes and get tangoed!
Noticed that Ali distanced himself from 7S but to be honest he always has done even throu the live shows.. I fear a collaberation between Matt Ali and 7S may be a bit of a pipe dream
I do feel that both 7S and Ali have conducted themselves with dinity throu the whole process and from all of this their love of music shines throu..
If either or both of them have some sucess off the back of Matts suceess I will be happy
