Motorola Atrix Phone/Laptop
Quote:
A smartphone, powerful enough to be used as a computer. Apart from being an awesome smarthphone in itself it can convert into a desktop, laptop and HD home entertainment center! http://freekko.blogspot.com/2011/01/...phone-and.html |

That's a really good idea, I wonder how long that battery lasts?

I get the impression that the dock can work with any device.
But what price is it worthwhile when a decent netbook will runs rings around it in productivity? At less than £150 it might really make the phone itself a star buy though. |

The laptop dock only works with the Motorola Atrix. The laptop battery lasts 7 - 8 hours and charges the phone at the same time.

It sounds a reasonably easy hack to work with any HDMI phone moandal.
Buying one might be the harder part. |

If correct A T & T and Motorola is very much using this as a teaser to attract market share. |

Its supposedly currently listed for sale at $60 which sounds 'cost price'.

You failed to read yours as hearsay so the confusion is all yours.
It certainly seems too low with it having a battery, I'll post the link later and the Best Buy hearsay price there sounds more sensible. $60 link. http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page....es&skuno=90530 |

However $59 for the multimedia dock and $150 for the laptop both sound plausible to me. $59 for the laptop dock doesn't. |

If so fooled me and maybe the web sites I read, though they do work a bit like misleading spam to generate interest in their sites.
The folding screen and $50 for the basic dock added to the equations. In fact there must be 4 docks so far! I wonder if the laptop dock is delayed then. |
