All of the houses today were unsuitable, do the researchers know the requirements of the family? |

Hmm, trying to like the Greens. Yet they want to escape the financial pressures of UK without giving up any of the trappings of wealth.

same old routine today. 'Different Lifestyle', 'For the Kids', 'oooh look, prices for our dream house in Oz are much higher than we expected' ...
I sense they'll stay in the UK because they can't afford that so called lifestyle. What really gets my goat is, you can have a very similar lifestyle in the UK too - you just have to move to the right area to do it. |

Morning BG...I should be walking the dog but I quite like this programme although this one today is daft imo...I think they are in it for the holiday!
![]() The houses today were totally unsuitable for this family. Am sure half the families just say they're planning on moving, just to get a free trip to NZ! |

I just don't get wht they want to move to a place they know nothing about, they can't afford the prices and they are taking the kids away from a very close family...at least the children are young enough to move, the families usually have a stroppy teen who doesn't want to budge from the u.k.!

Me and the other half are 'hooked' on this show.
The shows are good but the ends leave us flat, we don't know what's happened so what we want to know is, do they have one programme at the end that shows the subsequent successes and failures of the people they have featured looking to move down under? |

Its a bit like Escape to the Country and other shows.....we spend an hour watching them search for a house and when they say "we need to go away and think about it" or "we're planning on putting in an offer"...I'd like to know if they actually bought the house after all! |

Surely they could find somewhere in the UK which would provide a nicer lifestyle?! |

They did do a revisted show on one of the series, but they just repeated the original programme with an extra bit stuck on the end! They are a nice enough young family but totally clueless today!
Oh here comes the emotional video bit |

Morning, I didn't know this was back on until a day or two ago, so have only seen a couple this week. Nice to see some familiar faces here How are you GS/BG?[quote=guernseysnail;55823632... do the researchers know the requirements of the family?[/QUOTE] That's what I always think and the episodes I've seen this week, they seem to take them to very expensive areas, so that doesn't equate with where they're coming from in the UK. This family seem on a total hiding to nothing going to the other side of the world, leaving their family and friends, for half the salary and accommodation that's not a patch on what they already have. |

I dont know why these people feel the need to move half way across the world to be honest.
Surely they could find somewhere in the UK which would provide a nicer lifestyle?! I reckon Dean wants to leave the Mother-in-Law

Same old story then really. I've always wondered that. They should do follow up shows to see how the families who have actually moved are getting on.
Its a bit like Escape to the Country and other shows.....we spend an hour watching them search for a house and when they say "we need to go away and think about it" or "we're planning on putting in an offer"...I'd like to know if they actually bought the house after all! |

Did you see the show (can't remember which one) with the couple who fell in love with their dream house but it was too much for them and the woman cried her eyes out because they couldn't afford it? when they got the brilliant news that the owner had dropped the price to what they could afford their faces sank and they decided they didn't like it after all.... They had only gone along for a few days in a Hotel and a chance to be on the telly..... How many people just go along for a bit of a holiday?
Maybe I should pretend I want to buy a house somewhere!! |
