Watching today's; the family are freezing cold in Adelaide (why bother moving to somewhere that has similar weather? ) and dad has left behind his poor daughter from a previous relationship, selfish man! The programme is not a 'revisited' either, and slightly different in how it's set out... had a random talk about Australian wine in the middle of it that I had no interest in and had no relevence to the rest of the episode!??

If they move, the daughter he leaves behind is going to be SO damaged - I know about these things!!

Bring back 'revisited'!

This was a repeat. I remember it quite well and I think it said 2009 in the credits.

Nikki Chapman is a very poor presenter, I doubt she's wanted down under by any TV station

What I don't understand is that they seem to have flown her "down under" just to do these rediculous walking-to-camera pieces - she isn't involved with the families themselves at all, so could she not have done her patronising recaps and annoying hand gesticulating from a studio at a fraction of the cost?

That was a strange one today, he seemed all for the move and she wasn't sure, then at the end she voted for Australia and he voted for the U.K......

Is this the same Nikki Chapman who used to be a Popstars/Pop Idol judge? She should have persisted in that industry as TV presenting is the wrong job for her and she was quite high up in the food chain in music too. Not too sure why she gave all that up to become a presenter ?? .

She has good connections. She gets the work so why should she worry?

She is also married to the Vice President of Sony BMG International so probably isn't doing it for the money.

This weeks progs seem to be all repeats, anyone know if there are any more "new ones" or is that it for this year? I do like seeing the revisits though to see how they all have coped with it everything,

I too, much preferred Nadia, but I have been recording the progs and just skip thru Nicki's spiel

I really am at a loss as to why anyone would want to go there. Less money, separated from friends and family. But wait, just look at that kitchen!! Defeats me how shallow they are.

But if you really want to go, PLEASE spend a few days in Earls Court, just to see how insufferable life might get.

Insufferable is slightly more sufferable when the sun shines.

Just tuned in for today's show and I'm pretty sure I've seen this one before, sometimes they label it as 'revisited' which is another word for repeat with a 2 minute update stuck on the end, they do this with other programmes too, so annoying.

This family has 2 teens, one of whom is reluctant to leave the u.k. due to her having a boyfriend, why do these families seem to wait until their children are teens, it must be the worst time to try and move, I have enough trouble moving mine from the bedroom to the bathroom.. after all the parent's dreams are not always the childrens

New Zealand yet again... boring (to me it is anyway)! Caught the end where the poor kid said she still didn't know and they sniggered at her! Some of these parents are so horrible!

What I don't get is if you're gonna relocate to the other side of the world, why would you go somewhere with the same/similar weather to the UK? Surely one of the major reasons for moving for a lot of people is to get better weather!??

everyone has their own reasons. I read somewhere not long ago a lot of people move to NZ with a view to moving to Aus once you get NZ citizenship as NZ visas are 'easier' to get compared to Oz.

People migrate to europe because of better economic opportunities. Not everyone wants the 'lifestyle' we hear so much on this show.

I personally wouldnt move to either or even move outside the UK, despite what people tell you about 'lifestyle' in other countries like Oz. If I really HAD to relocate to another country, I'd probaly go to British Columbia, Canada

Yes, I think that's what the poster meant. I lived there for a few years - it's packed full of young, flat-sharing Aussies!

todays show: they were going to move 5 years ago but wife was diagnosed with Cancer . Five years later and she's got the all-clear. Dad isnt too keen on the move because of the cancer scare and potential financial suicide for starting a new business down-under.
My prediction: they will stay in UK

They want to run a coffee shop, which they have never done before...
