How rude!

I suppose you have forgotten about shift-workers, short or long term sick or disabled, stay at home mums, part-time workers, kids on half-term holidays, home workers, etc, etc!
I think he was having a laugh. Let him have his 30 seconds

I'm very pleased the sort of people you see on this programme are, in fact, thinking of emigrating.

She came over as a real control freak. What was wrong with their UK life. They had a nice house in a desirable village and the husband had his own thriving business. The only gainer would be her as she hoped not to work. To take those girls away from their father seemed very cruel. I hope the rest of the family stick to their wish to stay in the UK.
I can certainly see what she sees in the Hubby - complete lack of backbone. All the pretence of "wanting it for the kids" - she was shamelessly selfish.

He needs to wake up and smell the Fosters.

Does anyone here know why the houses in Australia have such tiny little bland gardens? with all the space they have there they should have acres to spare for each house.
And why do they have those horrible metal fences, it makes them look like prison excersise yards.

I have wondered this too, so would be happy to know the answer.

I see also that some properties are built very close together and are quite overlooked, which I always think is such a shame and I wouldn't want to pay £350,000 for the "privilege".

As for the premise of the show, I agree that the potential emigrants expectations are so very unrealistic - and I hate to admit that I am pleased to see them get a reality check on occasion. Seriously, do they not do their own basic research before setting off - or is it all in the name of "entertainment".

I've also noticed on this program & Phil Spencer's one that they show properties in built up semi-urban areas next to the sodding beach. There is more to OZ than surfing

Get them out into the bush. Houses are bigger, plots of land are bigger (so you get more for your money), you're not in the middle of no-where there are neighbours.

I'm watching... SELFISH man!!!! And what strikes me from these shows is that so many people are willing to leave their older children just coz they have a new, young family with another partner... I'm disgusted by these people!!

Its like they only JUST realise that their families are gonna be halfway round the other side of the world.

You'd think they would have realised that by now!
