Gonna be late Gonna be late but
All my girls gonna' have to wait 'cause
I dont know if I like my outfit
I tried everything in my closet

Some of Tinie Tempah's lyrics are awful too, but his songs are still good imo.

Anyone else got some lyrics they despise?
Why do you not like Shontelle lyrics? was listening to the song and dont think they are odd?

The lyric is slap you or kiss you, they changed it because it sounded like stab. They still sing this version at their live shows and it is defnitely slap

Actually, that's still slightly wrong. The lyric was originally "slap you or kiss you." They changed it because it sounds like stab.

Lazy rhyming kills me, like "maybe/baby" and "school/fool" or worse, "girl/world"! GRRRR!

But the song that always stands out for me is Heart's "All I wanna do is make love to you" (crap title anyway), written, amazingly, by the great Robert John "Mutt" Lange!

"So we found a hotel
It was a place I knew well
We made magic that night
He did everything right.
He brought the woman out in me
So many times, easily
And in the morning when I woke
All he left me was a note."

Unbelievably bad! Shame on you, Mutt!

*Ahem*

She doesn't do a catchy song.

But seriously, FFTL was terribly boring, 3 Words was again, boring, plus it had the worst lyrics from her so far. Parachute was alright, but again the lyrics really aren't much. Promise This was too busy to get anything from it, not even a dance, and was desperately cheesy, and The Flood? No comment.

I did not say all her songs are catchy. I said she does a catchy song.
If Fight For This Love didn't get stuck in your head then I don't know what your memory is like.
Parachute - that hook is catchy.
Promise This - Alouette-uette-uette.

You get my drift

No, I don't get your ''drift''.

California Gurls is catchy. Hold It Against Me is catchy. Rude Boy is catchy.
Fight For This Love, Parachute and Promise This are not.

Rude Boy is fun and creative.

Parachute wouldn't make a Katy Perry album.

All these contradictions. Rihanna herself a fan of Parachute and planning a duet with Cheryl Cole. California Gurls catchy but Katy Perry album not

No, because if it sticks in my head there must be some part of the song I like. Whip My Hair being a good example.

No, I meant it wouldn't have the catchiness to get onto a Katy Perry album.

How is the Rihanna thing a contradiction?
Because she likes the song?
Doesn't make it catchier.

The songs are similar in terms of lyrical layout. The only reason Rude Boy sounds more fun is that it is upbeat.

"Come here rude boy, boy
Can you get it up"
"
"What I wa-wa-want
Is what you wa-wa-want"
