I have an iPhone 4, can Orange unlock it for me?

Yes but you will probably be charged for it.

Hi Andy,

The standard unlocking fee is £20.00. To do so there are certain criteria you must meet these are as follows:

-The phone must be on the network for a minimum of 3 months.

- The phone must not be blacklisted.

- The account holder made aware the £20.00 fee will be applied to their bill.

To discuss this further please feel free to contact Customer Services on 150 from your Orange phone.

I hope this helps!

Hi,

I rang 150 earlier, the lady told me it would have to be sent away to be done and would cost £5,

Hi Andy,

I confirm the unlock code does cost £20.00. This is a standard fee for all Orange phones. Not quite sure why you were advised of this as the code is sent to you via email and is unlocked while synchronized with iTunes, you definitely do not need to send your phone in.

Hope this helps!

Absolutely disgusting that Orange charge £20 for something other networks give you for free.

24 Months worth of contract fees paid and you still want £20 off me to unlock something that is mine!

No i'm just a customer of both O2 and Orange (Both iPhones on Contract) who thinks it's a bit of a joke that O2 will unlock it for free but Orange want £20. I know what Orange can do........

Its a shame the foreign customer service know whats going on at Orange as I've been told different things, but a lady confirmed the £20 to me today, but can't do if for another 2 months as I only have had the Iphone for less than a month, even though I'm £208 in credit on my sccount

Hi Andy
I am an Orange contract customer. (Virgin EQ tariff - no monthly rental, and a normal £25pm tariff).

I have just bought a used Orange PAYG iPhone (without sim) bought in Dec 10.

Can I call Orange customer services and quote either of my phone numbers to request iPhone unlock, either free or at £20?

Do I need the sim in the phone before I call.

Last time I tried this I was told that only original customer could unlock.

Thanks ColinK
