I've been looking after a cockatiel for an elderly lady for the past two years when she goes away. Recently she went into hospital and has asked me if I can keep her.

I've had her here for two weeks now. I have a cat and a dog but she's not bothered by them and their curiosity is calming down. We've had her cage door open for a few hours each day (cat and dog removed from the room!) and today she finally decided to come out and sit on her door for ten minutes which was lovely to see.

Just wondering if FMs have any advice on keeping a cockatiel as a pet?
