I've just bought, second-hand, Deus Ex:Human Revoulation and Gran Turismo 5. Both are titles that I had the originals of on PC or Playstation, so I guess it's partly nostalgia and partly because I want to see how they've come along.

Played Deus Ex for a couple of hours last night. I was mega engrossed for an hour, but that started wearing off quickly. It seems pretty same-y to the last installment.

Gran Turismo 5 will be next when I get a bit of spare time. My Dad and I completed Gran Turismo 2 many, many years ago. I loved that. I'd spend an entire day whilst he was at work trying to complete the endurance races.

Resident Evil: Revelations (Wii U). It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a game this much. It's such a shame they decided to wreck the franchise with stupid movies, as actually the story line for Revelations would of made an AMAZING TV mini-series. Currently "stuck" on Norman (well, I've only had 2 tries!).

Battlefield 3 campaign. I know most people play BF for the multi player but that's no excuse for such poor single player game.

"Dead space" was bundled with my ps3 when I got it in 2009. I'd meant to play it, but got so engrossed in gta4 (also bundled) that I forgot about it, and its been lying at the back of my cabinet ever since.
Doing some clearing out, I found it and am now playing it. It's actually quite good!!! and I like the save system they use(save ports in the game, as well as checkpoints if you die.).
Not usually a fan of linear third person shooters, but I'm really enjoying this one.

Back playing Rift since it's gone free to play, although I have a subscription for the extras you get as a patron.

The best campaign mode in a Battlefield game has been Bad Company. Since Bad Company 2 DICE have been going after a CoD style campaign rather than playing to the strengths of the Battlefield series and the results have been disappointing.

Far Cry3: Blood Dragon.

I can hardly play for laughing so hard. The devs had a lot of fun making this.

I've not played videogames in a long time, but with the absence of good tv on, I got my PS2 out and atm I'm hooked on Final Fantasy IX - a PS1 game!

I think this could lead to a resurgence in my interest in gaming. Quite tempted to finally invest in a PS3 now...

Why not just wait for a next gen console?

Well, partly a price issue and I think the current gen still has a lot going for it. I feel I'd be missing out in some ways by skipping a generation and that way I could wait for a wider range of top quality games on next gen.

I played Bad Company and thought it was quite good. On a whole though imho CoD do have the better campaigns.

Dead Island Riptide: superb zombie game, decent storyline. The group base under siege sections are a good improvement on the original game.

That's good to hear - that's on my list of games to play. Just started playing Dead Space 3 now though.
