when I play back recordings from my new sagem 94320S it keeps saying receiver problem try reformating hard drive. Got unit changed under warranty and new unit is saying same fault. I have tried reformating and also have very good signal on both channels but fault keeps happening. It also does not record full program.

Reformat the disc and unplug the mains for a couple of minutes, it should be ok
Check make sure you have the latest download.

Good advice. I have the DTR94250 (250gb hard drive), otherwise the same as yours. Had the same message when I first bought the box, back in May 2010. Just ignored the message and disconnected the mains for a few minutes. Message never returned.
The problem with recordings cutting off too early or starting too late is down the the broadcaster not sending the command signal (CH4 are the worst for this, followed by ITV1 HD). It's not a fault with your box.
