Has anyone got official confirmation of anything about a 2012 tour yet? Last year 2011 tickets tended to go on sale in the interval on the day of the 2010 tour - has this happened yet anywhere this year????

As far as I remember that only happened for the London shows, so I'm not sure.

Sorry - when do tickets go on sale for next year. I want better seats next time.

We bought ours for this year in the interval for the last at Wembley - it did however take so long that we missed the start of the group charleston which was a real shame so I think everyone's in two minds as to if to do this year. However it does mean we got good seats this year.

I havent heard anything about any more tours.... Seeing that 6 of the 8 couples are from the most recent series, I would fancy that the older series celebs are not showing interest in touring. Also I think the interest in the celeb tour has decreased amongst the dancing fans after the success of the pro tour last year.

I sort of heard a rumour that they were going to alternate tours the next couple of years... so its a case of watch this space.

I absolutely loved the pro tour last year and went twice. It didn't just stick to the large select arena's up and down the country but went to some smaller theatres
taking in more cities as well. I hope they do another one.

So do I. And I think the pros loved it too so I hope they do another tour.

I have it on good authority (!) that on the last day when Vincent did his thing of pranking James whilst appearing in Ola's dressing gown, that all the pros not included in the sketch were in the wings falling about his hysterical laughter (just like we were in the audience). Even though they should have been changing for their next dance, they stayed to see James' reaction.

When I saw it at Edinburgh the first time, I asked James Jordan at the stage door after the show if there would be one this year and he said it would all depend...but didn't say what it would depend on.

I think the celeb tour will struggle to keep going every year as so many of the celebs who were both willing to tour and likely to be popular have now taken part. I don't know if they would consider using some again?

I'm surprised there isn't another pro tour but to be honest I prefer the tours done by the individual couples and dancers. I saw Brendan's the other night and I've seen Darren and Lilia's a few times now. I quite like the fact that the individual tours reflect the choreography style, dancing and personalities of the pros in question. I'd rather have the opportunity to pick and choose from those tours than go and see a group of the pros in a tour together.

I bought my tickets for tonight (Wembley) before the show started last year, in the queue at 6.30pm. They announced in the interval that tickets for next year (this year) were on sale.

A friend checked at the Wembley box office during this week's show, and they said that there are no tickets for next year on sale, and there is no info about a tour next year.
There were a few empty seats at the 02 this year, and they are not making a DVD, so maybe the popularity is waning. Perhaps having it alternate years would help stop it becoming stale, and give a larger pool of celeb dancers to choose from

I, too, have been wondering if there will be a tour next year, and I'm happy to say that I have had it confirmed that there will indeed be a 2012 tour. Don't yet know when the tickets will go on sale.

Thanks letting us know, and welcome to DS

I wonder why they haven't released tickets yet?

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm wondering if they'll release the tickets much closer to the show dates, or if they are just waiting until this tour has ended.

I was told to keep an eye on www.strictlycomedancinglive.com

Already can't wait!

I wonder what's in it for them to hold tickets back? I would have thought they'd do reasonably well selling tickets during the current tour. If they release the tickets later, fewer people will know about it.

I don't think I'll be going to another tour after this one, so I guess it doesn't affect me!

Sorry for being sceptical, but what's your source? I know that doing things differently from previous years doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a tour next year, but like Katie I'm wondering why hold the tickets back? Selling them at this year's tour would likely bring a bigger return.

Could be they're tweaking the format and going to different/smaller venues? In which case the existing venues wouldn't sell tickets.

I received an email from Stage Entertainment UK Ltd, who are (joint) producers of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.

Did they say if it was a Pro/Celeb tour or purely a Pro Dancers tour as we've heard rumours that they might be alternating them in future???

No, but I was referring to the Live Tour that is on at the moment, so I assumed that is what they were talking about too. I suppose it could mean either.

Anyway, they told me yesterday that they hope tickets to go on sale (or be announced) before the end of February. Not long to wait until we find out something.

I contacted the people who organise the live tours about venues not being used for the 2011 tour and they told me that they would consider using the venue I was asking about for the 2012 tour so it does sound promising for a tour next year!

Good to know- out of curiosity, which venue did you suggest?
