Both of mine are fascinated by water, and don't mind the consequences in the least. They would come in the shower with me if I didn't bolt the bathroom door.

This might sound harsh but I used to wash my cat with a hose-pipe.

It was probably kinda unpleasant but so is having a cat in the house that's been rolling in something nasty.
Not as nasty as a vengeful feline's wrath I bet.

Cats shouldn't need a bath, they'll groom themselves.
A few years ago we had Pepsi, he was quite an old cat with not many teeth, his fur used to get a bit stained where he dribbled and couldn't quite groom himself.

we bathed him in the kitchen sink, wasn't too happy at first but after a couple of times got used to it - bribed him with a plate of cat food whilst we blow dried him with the hair drier came up nice and fluffy...

I had my cat for 15 years and tried to give her a bath when she was a kitten, but gave up as she got too distressed. She always seemed lovely and clean however. Are we supposed to give cats a bath?

Most cats shouldn't need it. Older cats are a bit less agile, and may need a going over with petwipes after visits to the litter tray!

My boy Sidney is obsessed with water, every time I turn a tap on he is there. He has also jumped/fell in the bath 4 times
