I can't see Matt recording a duet with Aiden, not for release anyway. Why would he? I know Aiden is popular, but Matt doesn't need him to make himself more popular. Aiden is unlikely now to be signed by Syco so I just don't see how this would come off.
They may do some writing together, I could see that.
I hope they have a great time tonight and on the tour.

Yeah I love hearing about their friendship but if Matt is going to duet with anyone on the album I would like it to be someone high profile.
I think they should def duet on the tour though
If Matt retweeted it he must feel its a good idea to record a duet with Aiden and would like to do it? And he would know if their voices gell? He's got pretty good judgement I think

I somehow don't think it will be at his first single he said on the radio that he knows his song has to be a really good one Matt knows just what he is doing believe me. It may be a song on the album

Maybe he actually wants to do it - he's talked about it alot. He must think its a good idea as I said and he's not stupid. If it happens it'll hopefully work out well and advantageously for both of them.
ETA Also if Aiden is representing the XFactor at the Radio Times do they may still see him as part of the family - at this point anyway.

It's in reference to all the twitter stuff wanting and promoting an Aidan/Matt duet (recorded) ... Matt retweeted one of them asking to retweet if you would buy one ... so I assume that ths is from people who would like a recording in the near future (first album) rather than a future album as that's wouldn't be until next year at least
It's like we were discussing the other day .. all the tweets asking him to record stuff he's already done on the X factor which seems pointless as he's not a covers artists and wants to write his own stuff

Yeah I can see first album, but not first single. I totally agree hes not a cover artist and he doesnt want to do covers but he does seem to want to do an Aiden duet - at least these are the indications at this point. And I guess he must think it'd be good. This is his first album and his huge break and he knows its got to be very very good. I just think if such a duet happened it would be there on merit cos hes far from daft.

of course ... all the ex contestants will be seen as part of the X Factor brand ... like I've said I have no problem with Aidan representing ..... my point was that if there was an award to be picked up .. and Matt was also there (as a lot of Aidan fans are assuming) then I would have thought that as the winner he would have been the representative
.. although I'm puzzled as to whether there is an actual award to pick up as there doesn't seem to have been in the past ... the Radio Times do tonight seems to be a pary (covers party) and not an awards ceremony .. but so saying that I haven't a clue other than what's on the net .. lol

I think it might be that they present copies to the people who made the covers? Im not sure though. I was just pointing out though that the XFactor (presumably) asked Aiden - who went out in 9th place. It suggests they still see him as relevant to the XFactor brand. I certainly wouldnt discount him being signed.

I believe the "award" is a framed copy of the RT cover on which the recipient appears
