Glee falls under the 'so bad it's good' category. It's utter shit, but pretty amazing simultaneously.
Grease was the same at the time, but in hindsight with Glee/HSM it does look much higher quality...I agree with him there. It's just a light hearted camp fest though, no harm done. |

I'm steadily getting bored with Glee. Admittedly I don't really watch the show but I have always listened to the music and really enjoyed it in the beginning. However, they've become very predictable and it's starting to seem like they aren't trying anymore. I miss the glory days of Don't Stop Believin' and Somebody To Love - that was when Glee was worthy of the hype it was getting. Now their covers just seem like bland, straight-up covers without much imagination being put into it. The quality has dipped significently but Glee is more popular than ever, and it's annoying.
The Glee cast performence on the X-Factor last year was embarrasing, too.

For what it is, Grease is fine (not to my taste, though). Glee, on the other hand, is pointless
I started to watch it just out of curiosity and it was too cringeworthingly cheesy for me.

Like Glee, but more as a casual thing. Not everyone's crazy about it

The thought of Welcome To The Jungle with those overly cheery autotuned vocals makes me cringe...

They raped those Britney classics, like they do with every bloody song they choose to ruin.
Glee is very funny. Sure the music can get annoying but at least they sang live on XF unlike many other guests, it's a happy, feelgood and very clever show that has been a global smash. Music snobs can judge all they like and condemn those who like Glee, but the music is only one tiny part of what it is about. I reckon Slash have never even seen it. Same as most of you. |

You slag off Glee but then put "Britney" and "classics" in the same sentence. You lost any superiority you may have felt you had right there. LOL.

Oh get a grip Mr. superior. Britney is a pop icon, many of her songs ARE pop classics.
MJ and Madonna are icons. Britney? Don't make me LOL again. |

He is right. I'm not a massive Grease fan either but I totally agree about Glee.

Mr? I am female. Superior? Have you even READ the other posts in this thread? And music icon? Lmao! Britney will never be elevated to icon status. Not when she mimes on tour and doesnt have a modicum of originality. Dream on.
