However it is easy to imagine that Syco/J immediately shipped 2m out to willing stores based on the then current sales of Spirit - about 6.5m, so they will claim that as sales.”

RCA/J/Arista have announced details of Jennifer Hudson's new album, to be released March 22nd. I think it will be interesting to see how they handle Hudson's release considering Clive plays a big role in her career and to see whether there will be any indications of them bucking up their ideas in terms of radio promotion etc. Hopefully we will hear more news about Leona's release soon enough!

Yeah it's useful to see the patterns between promotion etc of other artists on the same label.

For example, Avril Lavigne's and Christina Aguilera's most recent campaigns have been pretty much identical so far. The lead singles 'What the Hell' and 'Not Myself Tonight' were both released early in the UK - before/around the radio premiere and zero promotion. Luckily WTH has done quite well but NMT didn't in the long-term.

Maybe Jennifer Hudson's success and career-handling will hint at what's to come for Leona.

These are the sort of decisions that scare me, why would someone working for a record label make such a decision?

Btw, doesn't it make people excited that we will most probably hear the first single and watch it (hopefully) explode in the charts before we move onto part 25? So 100/200 pages later, we will know the single etc.

...and when the single comes, we will go through part 25 and 26 in a day lol, possibly more if the single is a cover or a ballad

Nice for them to think of Leona but a 1000 seat stadium? Even Steve Brookstein could fill a 1000 seat venue.

I can't see Leona doing this.

I think there just trying to create a buzz by using a big stars name.

I mean i could probably or already have had a 1000 people in my bed at once, Not a big venue

If you're on facebook you can add LLF as a friend now, so it's a bit more 'interactive' than just having a page:

The demo woman's voice isn't the best but I can see Leona making the song much better. As with all these demos that get posted on Youtube, it's doubtful they will ever make their way to Leona anyway.

I think it is the same singer from the 'Photograph' demo that was rumoured for Echo.

I actually REALLY like that song, it'd make an amazing album track. Obviously it's a bit too slow to be a single, especially the fact there's no beat until the 2nd verse haha.
I really like it though! As Eth said, it's doubtful it'll make it to Leona - but it'd be great to hear her sing it.

EDIT: Just read on the OS about the DVD and it not all being filmed on one night, they've actually edited Bleeding Love REALLY poorly. I didn't notice till now but everytime it changes shots the star disappears from her head!

Watch it from 1:50 to 2:10, it goes and comes back haha!

Damn! Now you've pointed that out it will annoy the hell out of me everytime I watch it.

I really hate it when the do that, no doubt there are probably others (I wonder if the band are wearing the same clothes) I don't want to watch it and check as it will really bug me.

Hope so, Autumn said to me she was hopefully working on the project and I had to 'wait and see ' - I've enjoyed most of her work she's done so far, and she's already working with Alex (and hooked her up for an unexpected collab with a male artist!). Fingers crossed!

Yes it is, the singer is Ravaughn Brown. She did background vocals on a few Spirit tracks, so it possibly is genuine. Photograph, Fine Print, A Year Without Rain and this one are all the same singer. It's quite a nice demo, reminds me of My Hands slightly.
