That's good going, shows Leona fan base is holding up well, especially as the DVD had almost no significant promo.

She really is doing well i'm sure the dvd can sell more than 200 000 if it goes on like this xx

Does anyone know what songs Ryan Tedder has done with Adele for her 21 album?, I was just reading some reviews for it on itunes and everyone saying it is amazing and the Ryan Tedder tracks are great and dont sound like other stuff he has done. I have also just listened to the clips of it on itunes/Amazon just out of interest and most of the songs sound slow piano based and reviews for it are amazing so I get confused a little at times because Leona gets slagged off for doing slow songs.

I was listening to Madonna's Frozen song last night and I was thinking Leona would sound amazing doing something like it

He co-wrote and produced Rumour Has It which definitely has his signature loud drums. And then he also co-wrote Turning Tables (my favourite song on her album) but he didn't produce that one.

Ugh the Observer's review of Adele's album (which is amazing and I'm only half way through it) couldn't attack Leona more if it tried.

Why do journalists have to pit female singers against each other...Leona and Adele have nothing but the uptmost respect for each other, Adele's a huge fan. But no, journalists have to try and start some sort of a rivalry.

I was hoping that the Far East Movement track Ft Ryan Tedder was produced by him cos it sounds so different to his productions but its not

I know the Guardian did the same thing, the snobs just have to attack Leona, moronic idiots.

I'm quite optimistic this time around. Nervous, but more optimistic. Though it's make or break time, she doesn't have the HUGE expectations of Spirit anymore, plus this new sound will be interesting

That review is laughably bad. Leona isn't relevant to an Adele review at all but the reviewer couldn't resist getting a few snobbish digs in.

I also hate reviews that try and put a bad slant on big productions. Adele has an amazing voice that really soars with those big, epic productions just like Leona IMO. Yeah their voices do work well in stripped-back numbers but you can't have an album full of them. I think Adele's first album lacked something by being so simplistic and 21 is so much better. The majority of critics seem to agree too.

Her album will go to No1 in the UK because of pre orders, if they get a half decent single that will go to No1 as well, what concerns me is the USA, if they go off half assed again she'll fail there.

What remarks were made about Leona?

It was just malicious digs at Leona, she said something about trying to ignore that Adele and Leona went to the same school, (as if that's a bad thing) and try and ignore that some of same people Adele has used for 21 have also worked with Leona, (again as if that's a bad thing).

As Eth said Adele and Leona's careers have nothing to do with each other and Leona's career has no imapct on Adele's and vice versa...quite clearly the reviewer has issues with Leona and is using tenuous links to give herself a platform to air them!

Couldn't agree more. I really don't understand what her problem is, I mean why use the example of Leona twice? Never mind, let's hope that we find out some info on the first single within the next couple of months.

I was reading some review on an Irish website and the reviewer there was attacking Leona suggesting that the album they were reviewing wasn't 'over the top vocals' like Leona.

It always seems to come from what I call those 'right on lefty papers and media' who just seem to dislike Leona, perhaps it's because she's not the 'right sort of black person' for them?

She doesn't do drugs, get pissed or prattle on about politics, she has a 'normal' family background and doesn't have a history of being mentally f****d up.

On the other hand they might not like her because she's successful and they hate that and they hate Simon Cowell.

Whatever it is it's beyond normal, especially when you see the list of artists who have come out in support of her as an artist.

Speaking of Adele, she just mentioned Leona live in her gig which is streaming on her website. She was talking about her song Turning Tables and how she wrote it with Ryan Tedder. She said she came obsessed with him after Bleeding Love and then said "I'm the biggest Leona fan. Spent about £100 voting for her back when."

I never read reviews, critics usually have no idea what they are talking about. For a true opinion, it's better to see what the singers/musicians/artists think, rather than some opinionated pillock.

What the hell has Leona got to do with Adele?

There was a review of her tour in either the Guardian or the Independent that stated that Leona was a static performer.

It was obvious the person had either NOT seen her tour or just didn't want to have to admit they were wrong, so they just wrote it.
