Hi, put this in here because I thought you lot might know the answer?

Yes, I know, my fault. The labrador (my boyfriend's!) was malting or shedding or whatever, and now my wool cardie is covered in golden hair
Tried washing it, just got everything else covered in it...any advice?

There's no urgent need for the cardie, it's just quite a nice one
TIA.

I bought something similar to this in a local pet shop:

I don't have any wool cardigans, but have used it on bedding and carpets. The one I have tends to make it into little rolls of fur that you then pick off. Seems to do quite a good job.

Try sellotape or parcel tape. Wrap a loop of tape around your fingers, sticky side out, and dab at the cardy.
Once the tape's covered in fur, keep on replacing it with fresh bits. If you can find one of those lint rollers, they work well, too.

That said, I have a dog which moults everywhere, too, and her fur seems to weave itself into any fabric like some kind of mystical, magical knitting ...
