New Within Temptation single - Faster

They seem to have gone in a more commercial sounding direction with less orchestration & goth sound almost gone.

Have a listen what do you think.Think it might do well since their popularity is on the up & up.Sharon Den Arden's voice sounds better than ever anyway.

Not keen on it,as you say they have gone mor ecommercialised. Maybe some other tracks will have their old sound still but if this is indeed representive of the new album I'm dissapointed.

Might not be liked by alot of established fans but I think it may catch a wider audience though.Don't blame them trying to expand their audience really.Would like to see Femme Metal breaking through a little more.If anybody can do that I think Within Temptation are probably in the strongest position to do it.

To be honest I'm glad the track sounds a little different, they were beginning to get so stale in sound.

It isn't even that commercial, if anything it's heavier than a lot of their other material (a guitar solo in a WT track is a rare thing indeed). This song seems more riff based with the odd electronic effect thrown in here and there.

Hope to hear more like that in the album. I read an interview with Sharon when she said it was influenced by Iron Maiden - has to be a good thing!
