Martin;

- Downed by a weak bladder.

- 'Mission critical mistakes'

- So tired

Heidi;

Just happens to be a Camper; ends up as PM; wins by a whisker; new TV star; 'I know they didn't win (flash smile/teeth)!'

Donald. Keep you shoes and socks ON next time.

Take a bunch of women and a gay man for a night out at .......the Playboy Mansion.Interesting.

To Hef's THREE girlfriends, I'd ask; 'Ladies. What exactly was it about the 75 year-old shrivelled up Porn Baron Publishing magnate, 50's dressing gown and slipper wearing, MULTI-MILLIONAIRE, Hugh Hefner which attracted you to him?

Do the 4 of them meet each of the girl's families for Thanksgiving? 'Now you 4 sit here at this end of the table'.

Promo man on the street (to Ivanka);

'Would you like to take your shirt off?'

Ivanka (looking away into the distance);

'Maybe next time'

Well trained by her father (remember she went to Wharton Business School and was a very good student- yes Donald, we remember from last time you told us).

Quote of the day;

Candidate in the Tent team commenting on the arrangements;

'Its so 3rd World'

(If she only knew....I'll volunteer to take her to the Shanty town in Manila Bay or maybe just send her the dvd for Slumdog)

Marvellous stuff and 'Step Up' was only used 73 times.

2am finish? Seriously?

Might be a case of watching one on BBC and then watching the other one via other sources.
Iplayer will have them.

The three Seasons after this one were Celebrity Apprentice, I wonder if the Beeb has the rights to show them??

It was too bad that Martin went so soon. I saw a lot of entertainment value in him. It was funny how he thought he was some kind of master Machiavellian after getting the team to focus on Frank's mistakes prior to the boardroom.

And lol at Carey:
"There IS a marketplace for this suit, Mr. Trump"

Hope not, they were all rubbish, basically all boiled down to "who can phone the richest friends for help".

I was sure I was having a Deja vu moment last night when I started to watch it. If I remember rightly this season of The Apprentice was shown sometime last year.

Huh? This is the first time they’re showing this season.
You're right actually I think lol. Looking back at a thread in 2007 I was watching it then at the same time it was airing in the US so I must have watched it through torrents or something.

It's very confusing because USA series one was shown in 2004 on BBC2. Then there was a few more series shown 2005/2006 then there was a break of a few years before series 4 (I think) and series 5 were shown. I couldn't be bothered to check my facts here to be honest lol.

The BBC has fairly messed it around in the schedules in terms of channel, times, and years!

I agree.

I saw the first episode and didn't watch anymore. Bloke's team phoning their mates up for help were praised while the ladies tried to do proper business were torn apart by Trump.

Spoiler for the latest US series ahoy:

Question guy's, I didn't hear it properly was it the winning team leader who doesn't have to do the task next time or the whole team?

What a crap reward for the women candidates, lets send them to the playboy mansion and meet hugh hefner and his models.

The whole team.
The losing team will be divided into two sub-teams and compete against each other.

Everything about Trump's Apprentice is all-round terrible and I sometimes question why I bother watching at all...

I thought that is what he said but I couldn't understand how they could do that. So does that mean the team that won this week will be in the tents next week or just the losers from the divided team?

I do have to say the winner's prize is a hell of a lot better than Sugar's (Lord!!) winner's prize though.

The bit at the start with the convertable and the trophy wife with the funny accent and the baby was the funniest thing I've seen this week for sure.

The rest didn't live up to the opening though, the contestants are the same as any American reality show in other words loud, self-centred and insufferable.

The whole team (Arrow) will stay in the tents for at least another week. Quite unfair, really. Losing two tasks in a row has been quite common throughout the seasons, so I find the whole thing very silly.

I imagine they film tasks back-to-back like they do here, so it won't actually be a week.However, given that the show is largely about sleep deprivation, not having a proper room to sleep in seems unfair to me. It makes it harder for the losing team to perform well next time.

I was really looking forward to this but my disappointment was all-consuming when it became clear that the gorgeous Carolyn was not to be DT's 'eyes and ears'. Damn shame...

But why, does anyone know, is it in 4:3? Surely, in 2007, the Americans would have filmed it properly.

Yes it's filmed back to back, one of the contestants gave it away when he said something about being there for 2 weeks, despite "the hair" saying welcome to week two rather than day 2.
What was the point of waking them at 4.30am when they weren't meeting him until 8.30am also, that definitely says to me it's about sleep deprivation.

James, one of the contestants this season, had a blog where he gave some interesting information about the production of the show. He wrote that Trump was always late, and they often had to wait for hours (sometimes three or four hours) for him to come and introduce the tasks. And they weren't even allowed to talk to each other during this period.

He also wrote that no one really liked the rewards, because they would much rather go back to the house and get some sleep.

I've just got around to actually watching it. The two things I like are the tasks, which are usually better than UK ones, and Ivanka. She generally gives the most insightful comments.

Everything they've changed is for the worse. Keeping the winning captain on means we don't get to see how other candidates lead. Having her on the board puts her in the spotlight even more. It also means Ivanka is the only "eyes and ears" following the teams around and allowed to talk to them on camera, so we get less info on how the teams are doing.

I guess the reason for splitting the losing team next week is so that half of them can come inside.
