I'd expect its cause - for Joe at least - she talks to him frequently already. Cheryl's gone this long without twitter, I don't see her really all that into it. She probably feels like if she wants to speak to Joe then she'll do it her own way, not over twitter. I know her and Joe are pretty close, she was the only one that didn't care he wasnt selling records.

anyway, i hope this whole thing doesn't continue being a chase for the number 1 spot at the expense of everything else. Cher's going to be releasing music and we'll either like it or won't. I'd pefer it if she released music that didn't make all it's sales in the first week but got some recognition for its quality, than just kept getting to no1 in the same way someone like JLS do

True, but it's a bit of a backhand to Joe though, he welcomed her but she didn't think about following him ah well. I agree Joe but I'd like it if she got number 1 and the longetivity was there too, as well as quality of course. If she doesn't chart high 'haters' will be spitting venom on how she's gradually flopping - so here's me being a cliche and hoping for another no.1 *cross fingers*

i dont think i stated that it was gonna be a "big deal" if it never got to number one? im just saying if swagger jagger got to number one, and WYL sounds better then it should get to number one, but i just am not sure if it will.

The little snippet that's online suggests it's far less divisive than Swagger Jagger. She may not get a #1 with it but so long as it charts well and supports the album.

I do think Cher is likely to be the kind of artist that will need to pump out singles - not Syco's speciality! But based on the leaks, there's plenty of material for single releases.

I reckon it could get to No.1 actually. First, as C14E said, it seems less divisive than SJ, so non-fans may warm to it as well and even buy it. Plus Mike Posner's on it which would ideally draw more interest but apart from "Cooler Than Me" he hasn't had too much success so I don't know how much of a contribution his appearance would make. The only thing that's likely to work against it (apart from the usual anti-Cher attitude in many people ) is that it seems heavily auto-tuned, which could turn a lot of people off. It probably wasn't even necessary, I mean come on Cowell, Cher isn't that bad, jeez. Seriously though, I reckon it'll definitely sell more than SJ even if it doesn't get No.1.

Anyway I know what you mean joe, it is technically better to spend longer in the chart in high positions even if you miss out on No.1. However with SJ being No.1 at least when she returns to perform on X Factor Peter Dickson can boom: "DÉBUT NO.1 SINGLE" and to the viewers that seems better than "DÉBUT NO.3 SINGLE THAT SPENT 47 WEEKS IN THE TOP 40". Hasn't got quite the same ring if you know what I mean. But now with the subsequent singles, yes the focus should be on longevity.

SJ still pulls in the viewers on YT, 11m and still rapidly rising, we can't complain the single was overlooked at least, just have to hope all that attention carries over to the next one which will hopefully be a pleasant surprise to many people

Yeah it looks like she owns a house of her own now, don't know for sure if she's living with Craig currently though. She has cooked for herself though, albeit fairly simple meals.

I sort of agree with the over-production but come on, they're not that bad to assume the album will be top 10 then QUICKLY disappear.

True but it's weird how our expectations of our favourite artists can change so quickly! Before SJ was out we were all saying Cher will be up for Brit awards come next year and now we kind of agree that she's going to have limited success. :sleep:

I do think they released the wrong material.. I like Playa Boi + Didn't want to end up here, they are more natural and not very europop.
