Getting up from her position slumped behind the door, Cher made her way over to her bag grabbing a pair of trackies and a hoodie, she quickly removed her dress and threw on the her clothes. Pulling at the various clips and hair pieces in her hair until they were all successfully removed, she tugged her hair back into a messy ponytail. Grabbing a couple of baby wipes she roughly scrubbed away the now smudged, heavy eye make up she had been covered in and slipped on a pair of huge sunglasses. Shoving everything into her bag she pulled out her ipod, quickly slipping it into her pocket and making her way out of the dressing room. She walked quickly down the small corridor, hoping there were no cameras still filming in this part of the building, as she turned the corner, she was shocked as she collided with someone, sending both of their bags crashing to the ground, scattering items all around them. Looking up, her eyes met with a pair of shining brown orbs, that could only belong to her beautiful mentor, Cheryl Cole. Quickly pulling her eyes away from Cheryl's she reached down and picked up her fallen sunglasses, slipping them back into place over her now swollen red eyes. Cheryl picking up on the quick movement and look of sadness in the younger girls eyes, watched as she hurriedly grabbed all her belongings, shoving them back into her bag and standing up. She watched as Cher stood awkwardly in front of her before mumbling something and stepping past her. Sensing the younger girls discomfort, Cheryl caught her by the arm spinning her round to face her once again, reaching up she tugged gently at the sunglasses and found the younger girl's eyes swimming with tears. "hey, what's wrong babe?" she asked quietly, tilting her head to the side, Cher kept her stare firmly fixed on the ground willing herself not to cry again, "nothing, I'm fine" she attempted a smile, but was pretty sure she wasn't fooling anyone, "just an emotional night, you know? anyway, i should go, they'll be waiting" she said as a tear escaped and made its way down her cheek. This didn't go unnoticed by the older woman who quickly brushed away the tear and allowed her hand to linger on the younger girl's cheek, "You're a rubbish liar babe, do you want to talk about it? that's what i'm here for you know? to support you, look after you, not just choose a nice song and a pretty outfit" The geordie gave a sympathetic smile, while her thumb moved gently accross Cher's cheek. "I know, and thankyou, I just... I think i just need to get some sleep, you know, just be on my own for a bit" she gave her mentor a teary smile and closed her eyes as she felt Cheryl's arms wrap themselves around her neck. Cher clinged to the older girl's tiny waist as she spoke, "ok well i'm here if you need me ok? i mean it, morning noon or night alright? you've got me number just give us a text or a call, I'm staying at a hotel just down the road so I'm only ten minutes away ok?" Cher nodded and mumbled her response into the geordie's neck, "I've been where you are remember and i wasn't much older than you, it can be tough and bloody scary sometimes, sometimes you just want someone to give you a hug, and i had the other girls for that and i know its a bit different for you guys, all competing knowing only one of yous is gonna win, but you've got me ok?" Pulling away slightly she looked into Cher's eyes which were now watering freely, the younger girl wiped the tears from her face and sniffed, attempting to stop the tears from flowing. "ok, thankyou Cheryl" She smiled and hugged her mentor one last time before making her way out the waiting car.
