You know what the hilarious thing is? I was about to link you to a thread MartynMac started where he was being very tactless imo, and I've just realised the thread is nowhere to be seen and it says "inactive member" under his name! Lol! Think he got his comeuppance there.

It was one we both posted in actually, so I think you know what I'm on about. It was the one about RFYL being (surprisingly) lower than SJ in the iTunes chart. I basically said that him rubbing it in was the wrong thing to do and that if, God forbid, Cher's album bombs in the end, it will come back to bite him in the arse. Wouldn't surprise me if he was reported for posting the link to that thread in the Matt Cardle AT. No offence to him, but hopefully he'll think more carefully about what he does from now on.
It was actually that thread which led me to make my first post here earlier tonight. I wouldn't have known that SJ was still charting otherwise--so I thought it was informative!

Last series I was more a fan of Katie's than Cher's, then I saw them on a Twitcam they did together and realised that Cher was much more likeable than she was made out to be. (Also true about Katie imo.) Unlike many on DS I had no problem with Cher advancing over Mary because I thought she deserved it based on talent and potential.

Having heard some of the previews of Cher's album songs I am looking forward to hearing it. SJ was not really my cup of tea I'm afraid, but it was indeed catchy so I understand its popularity. I hope she does well with it, I've read that she wants to help improve her family's lot with her earnings and that speaks well of her.

Here's a video of highlights of that secret gig that Cher did a little while back where she did acoustic performances of WUL, Superhero and Beautiful People.

Very good, I think she actually did WUL in a higher key as well, and she still sang it very nicely! I think she just needs to learn to keep her voice that good when she's doing a more energetic performance, which was what was great about Lady Gaga's set at Radio 1's Big Weekend earlier this year.

thanks for that, how good does 'Beautiful people' sound? she's at her best here, probably cos she's not being asked the usual questions like in the radio ints. That fan is frozen to the ground

I really enjoyed that, Cher is so happy, relaxed and charming in it, way more so than in most of the radio interviews.
