The previous nice piece in the Fail was by Sarah Bull too - I think she must actually like Cher. Or at least can
write a Cher article without being mean, nasty and spiteful. I think they only allow her one nice Cher article per month though!

Cher's dance audition is trending on youtube and the haters have started rolling in, we need to unite and fight them off!

Anyone else watching Radio 1's Big Weekend on t'internet? Jessie J's on now - if Cher ever gets the privilege of doing a festival like this, this is a good indicator of what she'd be like (especially since Jessie J does indeed rap (and pretty well), which I doubted before ). You can watch it live on Radio 1's website if you want. Not a fan of her's especially, but she seems to be kicking ass and taking names right now!

And Mozitski, I'll check out what you mentioned in a bit, ya know, when I've stopped watching Big Weekend.

Yeah I see what you're on about now, Mozitski. You see, I can no longer tell whether all the negativity is a good thing or not. Best case scenario is that all of the dislikes are simply automatic responses from haters who haven't even watched the video, showing that people are far too eager to just click on the video anyway and dislike it. Ah well, hopefully they won't stop her from being as successful as she could be.

Oh well, look at Justin Bieber lol, he has twice as much haters as Cher and he's still successful - But I want Cher to have like the same love as Jessie J

how does something like that dance vid get to trend on YT then, i dunno how that happens. It's been around a while and i wouldn't have thought it'd interest anyone but fans, it's not controversial or provocative, it's hardly worthy of comment i wouldn't have thought. Is it cos it was on the DM in that piece y'day? could that affect what happens on YT? It's beyond me all that

if the comments are all negative, i expect it's cos the fans viewed it about 3 days ago on the official site, now it's the bandwagon jumpers turn

Seriously - those dancers in the vid are amazing. But Cher wasn't remotely fazed by them - entirely spontaneously she just gets up and joins in. How many artists would have done that? I don't think it was staged for the vid - it was a genuine Cher moment. Even as a dancer she doesn't know how good she is.

Jessie J has a lot of hate too. In fact, out of all of my friends, I'm the only one who doesn't mind her. I'm not fond of her, I think she had two good songs on a pretty crummy album. But we have a TV on the wall in our social area in school, and it gets changed channel when she comes on because people moan..

Warning: the following post is a bit of a rant.

Some of Cher's fans must be getting pretty pissed off by now. The amount of times she's gone against her own rules and replied to haters is getting ridiculous, which she's just done to someone. It must be really annoying if you've been asking nicely to get a tweet or follow from Cher and not had one yet, and then some jackass tweets something hateful/offensive to her, and they get a reply instantly, especially when the hater then rubs that in the faces of everyone else.

Not being funny, Cher's gonna start pissing people off soon if she keeps this up. She's still a nice person, she's just got her priorities wrong. Anyway rant over, sorry about that.

I kinda agree. You'll never win over the haters so there's no point engaging with them. Take the YouTube haters. They're people who deliberately seek out vids they know they're going to hate just so they can hate them. Or worse, they hate them without even watching them. There's no reasoning with people like that!

But you either believe in freedom of speech for the people you most despise or you don't believe in it at all. I just look on those people as celebrating a valuable freedom. Doing that reminds me that hate is never the answer to hate. Cher the love...

i agree with both of you, it's counter-productive to respond in that manner, it'll only encourage others to annoy her too...there's no alternative to ignoring it.

especially when her young fans almost pass-out with joy if she tweets them, so concentrate on them instead i'd say

I have a new-found respect for Lady GaGa now. Brilliant way to end Radio 1's Big Weekend (which has been awesome overall anyway), even if I have only been sitting in front of my laptop this whole time.

Fair enough about GaGa, but I thought she was great, and the jazz part was very nice as well. Actually Big Weekend as a whole was awesome, not least Plan B and Chase and Status. Katy B could perhaps have been dressed better, but she was great too. Especially liked 'Lights On' with the saxophone players and whatnot.

Yeah there's a tweet from Tommy about the video, hopefully it's all going well. Agree with you about the reaction though, though I'd like to think of that as a great incentive for TV interviews. Hundreds of people would tune in just to swear and throw stuff at the TV.

As you can see, wasn't very wise of Cher to do that. What baffles me, though, is the amount of her fans who supported her doing that, it's like they haven't even read Cher's bio and can't see the hypocrisy. Anyway she'll hopefully learn one day - dunno what day but one day.

Ahh, Cher what are you doing... Tweet your fans instead FGS! I think it's because she received loads of hate on the Youtube video and she was generally mad. But she should have focused on her fans to make sure they still like her, instead of hassling Haters?
