Anyway, just make sure it's got at least 1 RGB SCART socket for your DVD Player (noticibly better quality apparantly). Good Luck! |

Yes Toshiba set are very good plus reasonably priced (around £430 for a 32 inch model from argos I think). They may be curved screen which puts some people off though.

It might be worth buying it from John Lewis - they offer a free 5 year guarantee on all their TV sets.
Whatever you do, steer clear of the DSG stores. |

The Philips widescreen we got (24PW6006) is a smashing set.
Don't buy a Philips DVD machine tho, the one I got has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. Sony TV's are good, we had a 21" one for 15 years before the tube blew, there are ones older than that still going though! |

I have a Philips 32" which can be bought for quite cheap now, I bought mine for £500 last year, but I have seen local retailers in NI selling them for £350, or for £500 you can now have the 32" Philips with DVD player and VCR and cinema system. Damn! Should have waited a year!

I bought a Thomson TV from Comet a couple of years ago and its been one of the best TV's I have ever bought. I think it cost me about £599.00 two years ago. http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/CatalogueItem_1074.html
