Previews there. It's from the London show which has been a hit in which she portrays the last years of Judy Garland, she sounds so much like her, its quite emotional! I can't wait for the album (out Monday). |

I went thru a huge 'Judy' period in the early 90's (yeah, I was really fashionable - NAHT!), but, do Judy some justice and buy her msuic from when her pipes were at the top of her game. Any of the later MGM & Capitol recordings she made are brilliant. Her voice had mellowed by the mid 50's but hadnt started to crack, as the post '64 stuff had. Im not a fan of wallowing in her end years - life had kicked the s**t out of her by then.
IMO the best album she ever made was 'Alone', it was a concept album about a love affair, in song. Its the best her voice ever sounded, and the songs were all different to the usual standards she sang. "Forget yer troubles-c'mon get happy!"

Oh I agree, Judy obviously was marvellous and who could sing her songs better than her, what I meant was, as a soundtrack to the musical, its pretty strong
