Johnson and Joedeyne remind me of Donal and Florentine

Love them - he is so sweet and unassuming

Hi, here's our view on the elimination prospects.

Not looking good for Dominic and Dave..

I don't really think that this view's any closer to being right than the general views of the DS board, as the sample is absolutely tiny compared to the X million viewers the show gets...

The sample size is small, yes - but if you have a representative sample you can be accurate with small numbers.

Do you think this board is representative of the viewers? I don't.

People here are a lot more sophisticated in their views of the show vs the general public in my opinion...

Do you take steps to ensure your sample is representative? I'd be interested to know.

And no, I don't think this board's representative, as I thought I'd said in my original post - again, the sample size is too small and as you point out, the interest level and parameters influencing voting factors are always going to be different from that of a more casual viewer.

Yes we do. We often weight our data, see; http://survation.com/2010/12/the-x-f...weighted-data/

But age/sex weighting does not usually change the results that much we find...

I'm sure people kept expecting Todd and Coleen to go, but they hung on several weeks, Coleen making the semi-final

I'd quite like Jeff, Kerry or Denise to be in the skate-off next week - partly because I've found them the least entertaining, and partly because I reckon they're the three who would be most deflated by being voted off by their peers. Yes, I know I'm not very nice

One thing I do hope is that Dominic finds an extra gear and stays in. His skate-off was a lot better than his initial performance last week and he seems like a lovely, genuine fella, a proper antidote to Brazier/Katona-style OTTness elsewhere. Plus I really like Alexandra, who deserves a run with someone who can actually improve a bit.”

Completely agree with you on all points! Denise doesn't grate on me as much as Jeff and Kerry and I was fully expecting her to bug me as much as Coleen did when she was on it.

Biggest surprise to me is how much I dislike Jeff - he's always seemed OK to me, if a bit thick. But the cheeky chappie act is doing my head in. And he's not very good. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be going any time soon.

If Kerry is in the bottom 2, will we see an X Factor style controversy where the zelebs vote to keep her in over a superior skater following producer instructions to save their perceived cash cow.

if it's on the skating then Kerry out for me as she does the least .. if it's on likeability then Jeff out as I think he's coming across as cocky and too full of himself

Want it to be Katona, but she WILL be saved if she is in the skate off

Think it will be either Dominic or Denise

Thanks for posting that. It's interesting to see which ones (for example, Laura and Jen) to rather poorly as a 1st choice but quite well as a second choice.

One of the defects of D Spy polls, imo, is that we don't get to indicate a 2nd choice.

I really want KK to be in the skate off. I think she will be unpopular with the other contestants and therefore = toast!

I would completely love to see Jeff go for this above reason! Ditto for KK although I'm almost a little bit too terrified to say that on this forum for fear of being labelled a Mark Croft supporter or something.

Denise I don't mind. If I was forced to go on a night out with any of those three, I'd pick her for sure.
