Went to PCW tonight for Nigel McGuinness's retirement show.
Looked like he had fun in the ring, but also looked a bit vacant... like he knew what was happening, but he didn't want it to. (His retirment) He's a true gent too. Wouldn't kiss my Blackburn shirt's badge, but backed the "Steve Kean Out" protest. ![]() TNA dropped the ball with desmond wolfe |

I heard rumours of him having HepC, aswell as the concussion syndrome. It seems no one knows apart from Nigel/TNA/ROH/Family.

Has TNA improved yet or are they still using Bischoff, Hogan, Sting and Flair for rediculous amounts of on-screen time?
Ignore JCR, who clearly hasn't watched TNA in ages, otherwise he would actually know these things. |

Hogan hasn't been on since just after BFG, he's taking time off to give the new guys in the Main Event a chance to shine. Flair hasn't been on either. Sting is an authority figure but plays it brilliantly and doesn't hog too much screen time Bischoff is involved in a terrible storyline with his son, who has none of the charisma of Shane McMahon, but thankfully it doesn't take up too much time.

Well, as always with TNA, you have to take the good with the bad.
The main event and upper-card is as strong as it has been in a long-time. The likes of Roode, Storm, Styles, Angle and Hardy are all in the title frame. The X-Division is slowly but steadily making improvements; Aries is a brilliant heel champion with a very bright future ahead of him (although I think he is a future WWE star actually). On the other hand, tag-division is toothless, Television title is worthless and there's a few feuds that nobody really cares about (Garrett/Eric Bischoff, Daniels/RVD). And, of course, the presentation will never come close to WWE's million-dollar budget, which people forget is a major reason why people watch wrestling in the first place. The thing is that the WWE product is highly consistent, in that 99% of the time it is watchable but totally average. TNA is totally inconsistent, having produced some of the best and worst wrestling and angles to come out of the business this past year. But, aside from Money In The Bank, I don't think WWE has the same edginess and grittiness that you find in TNA at it's best. It's just the caveat of that is that you will need to sit through a lot more shit to get to the good stuff than you do with WWE. |

After the effort you put into that post I'll give it a chance on Sunday (I think that's when I saw it on), I will report back what I thought of the show.
Hopefully I will see Hardy, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and RVD. I'll probably leave fairly happy then. |

As terrific as A-Double is, it is very doubtful. He'd probably be considered too small, and besides they rejected him for Tough Enough.
He isn't tall, but he has a good physique and is obviously strong as well - I mean, he has a Brainbuster for his finisher! His mic work is very, very good indeed. |

WildMovieGuy (IAmHuman) was actually a fantastic poster. He sparked off debates when it was essentially a ghost town on the threads, and a lot of what he posted i agreed with and it was cool because he didn't just go with the common view like the majority. I don't think he is on the site anymore.

Christy Hemme's dress will bring ratings...
Also, nothing wrong with WMG. Decent bloke. Why was he banned? Was always a sensible poster with great views. |

I echo the thoughts on WMG, whilst I miss him it was fairly clear that he tried his hardest to wind up everyone on the WWE thread, he had something major against that company, constantly posting ratings and moaning. Although in his defense he did tell the truth a lot of the time. It was great having him on the forum though, he did bring out a lot of good debates and brought the most out of posters. His new accounts just haven't lived up since though.

And why are we discussing this at the risk of mods/admins seeing his username and banning him again?

Enjoyable Impact last night. Traci Brooks was good wasn't she? Also loving Heel Bobby. What next? Will he kill a kitten? Blow up a bus full of school children? "What do they matter to me? I'm the CHAMPION", he would say.
One thing: I'm getting a bit sick of roll-up victories. At the moment it seems like 75% of matches end in a roll-up. I know sometimes you gotta have an underdog win for storyline reasons, but does it always have to be a roll-up? At this rate, the roll-up is like the most effective move in Wrestling. |
