I can't understand why TNA wouldn't do a PPV in the UK. Surely any PPV buy money lost because of time difference would be more than made up by a paying crowd of 9,000 at Wembley

It might be a contractual thing, but i hope it's something they'll take on board. Until things pick up in the US, UK events and footage could sustain future projects and promos for the calendar year due to the revenue generated, and the spectacle created.

Since doing a TV recording was a last minute deal on the last tour, they should do it more properly this time, such as pyrotechnics and entrance ramp, colour commentary. It would be immense.

OFN is the first show after a PPV isn't it? Or is it the second show?

Impressive PPV showing from TNA. Good opener, quality matches involving Kurt Angle and Austin Aries. Main event was WAY better than expected. Knockout match was decent effort too. Brooke might have more potential than realised.

Interesting how Magnus has progressed so much, the guy could be a main eventer 18 months down the line. Carter should hold on to him, because WWE will quickly snap him up if she doesn't.

Annoyed by how they're still underutilizing Motor City Machine Guns. Shelley is one of the most underrated talents in the business; Sabin is excellent too. These guys could or should be in the upper midcard single stars at the least. Jarrett, Mantel, Russo, Bischoff, Prichard etc. They've been sort of kept in a certain position for years by all these bookers. Maybe they keep pissing somebody off?

Brilliant news. I think wrestling shows have an extra raw energy when they're live because the guys really have to be on their toes.

Watched the PPV this afternoon. I thought the main event was a bit weak actually - i've seen better ladder matches. At least Roode got a clean win for once.

Angle and Styles stole the show for me, but then those two could have a duff match and still do that.

A Double. So much punishment! That guy is awesome and is so over with the crowd that he alone could cause momentum change with the company.

I was so surprised with Magnus too - he is really starting to come into his own.

That bump that Aries took off the top rope into the barrier was nasty - I think Mick Foley would have winced at that one.

I do think they need to bring in some new talent for him in the X Division though. He's so much better than most of the X Division roster, it's almost getting to a point where the title becomes less valuable because you know that nobody will ever take it off him.

They probably need to do an angle along the lines of the old Ultimate Warrior/Rick Rude match way back in 'the day'. Someone holds his feet down while the opponent covers him to screw him out of the title. Maybe add a "no rematch" stipulation as well just to give the angle some time.

Then you could eventually have him win his way in to an Ultimate X match where the winner gets a guaranteed title match and he gets the belt back.

They've booked themselves into a bit of a corner with Aries and the X-Division title. I suppose the logical get-out clause is some sort of triple-threat or fatal-four-way with some huge X-Division stars like Styles and Daniels, but he doesn't get pinned and still loses the title. He can then move straight on to the heavyweight title scene, which is obviously where he is destined to be.

Very good PPV overall. I thought Angles/Styles was a little slow and disappointing, actually - I suppose it isn't 2006 anymore, but the match was very chain-based. I expected to see a little more storytelling and high-impact moves. Aries/Ray stole the show for me, fantastic storytelling by both men.

Impact going live is great news for the company.

The TNA knockouts must be thrilled to have Brooke Hogan as their new mentor. I'm sure they can learn a lot from her vast experience in the wrestling business and glittering success in the wider world of entertainment.

Absolutely brilliant PPV, I think the best since the all X-Division PPV, all the matches were either good or excellent even the Crimson match was good, although the credit must go to Eric Young for that, he showed amazing strength to do a handstand on the top turnbuckle and hold it for as long as he did.

Anyone know what was up with the Hardy/Anderson match seemed to get cut short I assume Hardy was too injured to go on any longer but why the weird ending with the disputed 3 count?

Has RVD been smoking a bit too much dope lately, I mean doing a frog splash onto a ladder? that can't be good for you, and then he tries to kick away the ladder whilst Bobby Roode is on top of it! that looked so dangerous and could have caused Roode some serious injury and neally did.

You misunderstand me. The post that was made seven posts above yours contained the exact same information.

Watched the PPV myself over the last couple of days and it was a strong effort. Best matches were Aries/Ray and AJ/Angle which was a great technical match. The only match on the whole show I didn't like was Crimson/Young. Young I like in the ring but I don't like his comedy gimmick or the whole Knockout Tag Title thing (to be honest I think they should drop those as there's not enough women to have a tag title and a singles title) and Crimson I'm just bored with, although he is a better heel than face.

Aries went above and beyond as always and showed why he's the best part of TNA right now. I'm another that was puzzled by the Hardy/Anderson finish though. I fully expected it to be part of some storyline, especially with it being Earl Hebner doing the count...it all felt strange and you could clearly see Hardy kicking out at 2 from every single replay. Very odd. RVD/Roode was also a decent ladder match but the couple of botches (RVD being at fault) kinda took me out of the match. That plus I stupidly found spoilers before watching it so there was no surprise to it.

I'm even enjoying Devon as TV Champion now and thank god they made it a belt that's defended weekly, I was hoping for that for so long. Now I just hope they move away from Robbie E and start having more worthy challengers, elevate the belt with bigger names. I'd love to see a bigger name hold the belt in future and take on loads of guys then have a champion vs champion match or something in future. Elevating the belt to that level would do wonders for TNA.

Also they totally need new X Division guys and I hope we get some bigger indy names or names from the past rather than just OVW guys. The X Division seems to have been forgotten about recently and is the only downer on the show, I'm happy for Aries but let's not forget what makes the X Division guys stand out. The Knockouts are entertaining now aswell and Gail Kim is the best woman to keep the belt on. I'm enjoying the longer runs of people like Kim and Roode very much.

I mostly agree apart from the Devon bit. The yanks seem to love him, but I seem to zone out when he comes on. I was hoping the chant for him at Wembley was ironic.

Aries is definitely the best part about the show, however I don't think you can look past the contribution of Bully Ray. He's been in 3 of my favourite PPV matches of recent times (vs Abyss in Monster's Ball, vs AJ Styles when AJ jumped off the scaffold and this one). All 3 matches surprised me and that's a good thing.

I don't think the Anderson/Hardy match was supposed to end like that, it looked like they got it wrong, as both of them were wondering wtf happened, so with that one ending up finishing early, i think they just shoved that Crimson/Young out to fill the time,s that was totally pointless that one.

Also, anyone else sick to death of Devon having to fight Robbie E every week for the Tv Title.

Magnus is doing panto this year, playing the Genie of the Lamp in a production of Aladdin at the Norwich Theatre Royal.

If they want to build credibility for the belt, they need him to defend against different people more often. It's fine if he's fueding with someone, but if not, at least have a different challenger each week. clean pinfall wins will only serve to make the belt more valuable.
