I watch Impact Wrestling now and then so am not familiar with who is wh apart from ex WWE guys and girls or any story lines etc but I watched Impact Wrestling this week and really enjoyed it. I'm starting to lose interest in WWE more and more, Raw was awful if anyone saw it. But TNA seem to be a good alternative.
Can anyone give me a quick run down of the story lines going on at the moment please?

Austin Aries is the longest reigning X Division Champion in history, Bobby Roode is the longest reigning TNA World Champion in history. Hogan has told Aries that he can challenge for the World Title at Destination X on the condition that he forfeits the X Division Title. Aries will be giving his decision this week on Impact. Abyss has been 'missing' for a few months so now his 'brother' Joseph Park (Abyss doing a lawyer gimmick) has been introduced and is investigating and has been feuding with Bully Ray. Abyss has been popping up every so often in the last few weeks but never at the same time as Joseph Park is in the ring. Daniels and Kazarian have been trying to expose an alleged affair between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter. They've got photos of them embracing, and uncovered secret phone calls. AJ and Dixie will come clean as to what has been going on on this weeks Impact. Lastly, last week Sting was attacked by three mystery men in masks at the end of last weeks show when he was talking about being the first inductee in TNA's Hall Of Fame. And Impact has been restructured a bit. The TV Title is defended every week. And once a month there is Open Fight Night, where anyone can challenge anyone to a match, and they must accept. And there's also Gut Check, where a wrestler from outside TNA has a 'try-out' match against a roster member, and if they impress the judges (Taz, Al Snow and Bruce Pritchard) enough then they get a permanent spot on the roster. TNA really has turned a corner the last couple of months and the majority of their stuff is entertaining or serves a purpose, unlike WWE. Oh and Brooke Hogan has been brought in as GM for the Knockouts Division. Shockingly, she isn't terrible. She isn't particularly great either, but I can watch her segments without wanting to kick my tv, which I was largely expecting!

Cheers SteelEdge thats awesome thanks. I have set a series link for Impact Wrestling on my Sky for Sunday nights. I've been a WWE fan since the Attitude era but right now WWE is really boring imo and it suddenly seems like Cena is actually more important then the WWE Championship.
It was good to see TNA using more of their own talent instead of relying on so many ex WWE guys. I know a few ex WWE are in there such as RVD, Kurt Angle and that but its nice to see guys wrestle that I don't actually know about.

I like the fact that the two main belts have been held by their respective champions for a long time. it gives them a degree of credibility.

Incidentally wantn't it awfully careless of James Storm to forget he'd left an entire case of beer at ringside at Slamaversary (So Roode was able to wack sting over the head with one.) by the commentators desk, as if Storm would forget such a thing ![]()

Yeah not a bad show, but the AJ/Dixie 'reveal' at the end was dire. Hope that's the end of that stupid angle.

Where the Jesus, Mary & Joseph did they find that "actress" (in the loosest possible terms) in the end segment?! Even for pro-wrestling, she was awful. Would have been better to have had them just having an affair and have Dixie preggo with his kid or something.

Just found there was a couple of house shows at the weekend, so here's the results of the BFG matches... Joe pinned Anderson (7 points) Storm pinned Robbie E (7 points) Joe made Robbie E tap (10 points) Daniels beat Angle by count-out (5 points) |

It was a decent show apart from the matches being too short and the final segment, which while we knew wouldn't result in AJ turning heel didn't think would result in such horrific acting. Personally I'd have actually revealed them to be in a relationship, but done in a way which didn't make them look heelish.
Well, the matches being short wasn't the problem. Joe and RVD losing cleanly in short matches seems a bit meh to me though. They should have protected them using DQ and count out finishes, in the process building for a couple of matches at the PPV. |

Agre with everything said about this weeks impact. Get a feeling they just said to AJ, Go for it because it was reckless to say the least.

Can anyone remind me what was the ppv where Kurt Angle won all of the belts (x-division, both tag titles, and the world championship)?

Should TNA reduce their PPV schedule to one every three months?
For example March - Lockdown June - Slammiversary September - Bound for Glory December - Destination X Most TNA PPV's get very little buys, so this way would at least allow them to build up to each event slowly, making them mean much more. |
