Wish Challenge would show these PPVs live. The last 3 have been superb.
This card didn't really have a bad match. Well, The Ion/Flip was very botchy, yet short and so fast paced it didn't pose a problem or drag the show down. Styles/Daniels - another MOTY contender. The main event built gradually to the perfect climax - the booking of Austin Aries' rise to the top since DX has been pitch perfect. Joe vs Angle was as you would expect - a strong encounter. Dutt/Cameron was a good encounter. The opener was an exciting spot fest. |

One year from no contract to champion, and turned from heel to face by fan reaction alone - what a success story Aries has been this past year. He'll make a great champion, I hope he holds it until after BFG as Roode/Storm doesn't need the belt to be worth watching.
Styles/Daniels stole the show for me, though. Their match at DX last year was so lacklustre, but damn it, they tore the house down this year. Insane spots - namely Daniels into the steps and the Styles clash through the table - and brilliant storytelling. Well played both men.Ironically, the X-Division matches were the weakest part of the show. Rubix should have been in Ultimate X! |

I just finished watching Destination X, it was a really good PPV. Styles/Daniels was just mint! What a finish. I'm also really chuffed for Aries' title win, it probably won't last long as I can still see Roode/Storm at Bound For Glory. However it should be fun for what it is this time around. Take some notes WWE, that was a show.

Some really good stuff on the PPV. Daniels/AJ was very good.
Aries winning the Title was good, but I think they'll try and get it back on Roode soon enough so Storm can beat him for the belt down the road. I've always liked long title reigns, due to the fact that it usually means more when the guy loses the title. You saw the reaction from the crowd when Aries won. It gave the impression that it was a big deal. |

I've started watching TNA recently and I have to agree. Great product. It's just a shame that they are stuck in that Impact Zone.

I'm still not sure whether Aries drops it to Roode before BFG or not. It's a tough booking decision. Does Roode/Storm need the title to be a great match and worthy of BFG? Definitely not as their feud runs deeper than gold. But conversely, gold would make it even more appealing, and is there time to build up a main event worthy feud between Aries and any of the BFG contenders? There's definitely a few top quality matches Aries could have in there - Styles, Joe and Angle all jump out. But Styles is busy with Daniels, Joe has already faced Aries, and Angle main-evented last year. It's the sort of tough booking decision you'd love to have as a writer though, because whichever path they choose, the fans win. |

Yep, although it has to be said that the IZ has come alive in recent weeks. Definitely more hardcore fans making the trip than there was before.

Roode vs Aries was the best wrestling match I've watched in a long while. Started watching it recently as WWE is pretty awful lately, although I also started watching it because I've always liked both Roode and Aries.

Another quality episode of Impact last night (don't worry, no spoilers here!). Amazed at how much the company has improved in the last 6 months. Pushing the right people the right way, great matches every PPV, great TV matches every week on Impact, majority of the roster have character and direction, hot feuds, Austin Aries being awesome. With me contemplating giving WWE a break for a couple of months when Raw 1000 is done and dusted (unless they pull something huge out of the bag), I can see Impact becoming the only wrestling show I watch. Cos atm, the thought of watching 3 hours of Raw (well, it'll probably be more like just under 2.5 without adverts) every week fills me with dread.

Id like to see MITB being as good as destination X but it wont be. Shame that tna will probly lose quite a few viewers for the time being with the DirecTV/Viacom problems

I've found that if you skip over all the recaps from earlier in the show, the promotions for upcoming events, the Be A Star adverts etc - you can usually watch an episode of raw in just under an hour and a half.

With the recent BFG results, i've no idea who is going to top the leaderboard and be main eventing. I think everyone though with Roode being the title holder and cheating Storm out of it, that those 2 would be going at it, for the title, at their biggest PPV. Yet now A double is the title holder, and Storm has been overtaken by Joe with Hardy fast catching up too. Unpredictable - brilliant!

I wont give any spoilers but I was watching last nights episode of Impact Wrestling and the feed used was the direct feed. It was fascinating to see what goes on during commercial breaks and even more so with the matches. They really do continue recording while a commercial break is happening although the sound is dubbed. I don't know if TNA do this on their DVD releases but I know with WWE when they show TV matches on DVD they show it as it happened on TV with the cuts. At least now I know they don't switch the cameras off during a break and they do continue filming.

Just watched DestinationX, X matches were a real letdown, very poor, Clash through the table from the ramp was great, and double A Vs Roode was also a good'un, now to watch this weeks Impact.........

Ok, since I've been "away" this week, I actually watched the PPV on Monday but haven't been able to comment until now. It's very rare that I watch any PPV all the way through with all the matches but it happened here. Cracking PPV. Sure, the X Division matches were just about "ok" at best, but still very watchable.
The Ultimate X Match was a big letdown but I suspect that Sonjay's injury played a part there as it did seem to go straight to the end when he came back. The AJ/Daniels match was amazing. Those two couldn't have a bad match if they tried and the spot through the table - literally left my mouth wide open ![]() I had to watch it back at least 3 times before I saw how AJ's feet pretty much protected Daniels' head and face. The main event was fantastic. Almost old school in a sense as well. And, more than anything, I loved the fact that Aries went over as clean as a whistle. Roode shenanigans, but Aries finisher and then clean pin. Gives the match and the belt that extra sheen of credibility IMO. Top drawer stuff. |

Very funny by Roode.

Shame that there was only one Knockout match, and unless I missed it, no other females got any screen time (bar Brooke).

Loved Joseph Park snapping when he saw his blood and hitting a Black Hole Slam. Made me wonder if they're going to go with a split personality storyline.
Although I did like him better when he was searching for his brother Chris, you know, Abyss. |

It's a shame they didn't bring the six sided ring back at Destination X like they did for last year's event.
