RAW hardly ever beats TNA in the UK ratings

I know some people say TNA has an advantage by being on Freeview, but there are more people in an average week who watch Sky Sports 1 than Challenge, and substantially more watch all the Sky Sports channels. (Don't believe me? It's all on the official BARB website.)

And of course WWE's aggregated programming beats TNA's, seeing as TNA only really have one main show.
More people watching Sky Sports will be for football, tennis and golf. Not the secondary sports like WWE.

RAW beats TNA quite a bit which is solid considering it's widely streamed etc.

I'm not knocking TNA etc btw

Slightly related but WWE are rumoured to start airing Main Event on PickTV. They are slightly concerned over the growth TNA has over the WWE in the UK.

For me its an odd move since RAW does beat TNA quite a lot and aggregated views of all programming have WWE way way out in front and they still dominate the live market.

Still, twisted recognition for TNA
It's not up to WWE what channel sky put them on. I do think WWE would benefit from being on a free channel though whether it be ME or SS.

Wow! How much better did a hot crowd make Impact this week, loved Impact this week even and it was clear all the wrestlers loved it as well.

Ahh Right. I knew the two taped PPV shows were for April and May.
Why do they need to tape them so far in advance?

To get them out of the way as they're moving out of the Impact Zone, makes sense now, didn't before

In think this is going to be a comedy act for a while yet. They don't seem to have an idea of where they want the character to go, especially since they eased off the Abyss return.

The hot crowd did add a new level of professionalism to the product.

I think it was just an idea to get them done and out of the way in one weekend. Doing them in one weekend does make a good saving.

Impact was pretty poor this week but the crowd made the show come off much more professional and interesting.

Have to disagree with the earlier poster, I absolutely LOVE Joseph Parks. Highly entertaining character and Chris Parks plays him to perfection.

If it could look that good and professional every week they'd be onto something.

Will they add in new commentary closer to the time of broadcast? If they don't, it will really sound out of date. (Tazz will be a face on commentary for example)

But the thing is we all know that he is "The Monster", so having him play this lawyer just seems pointless really.

Yes, I think they do this all the time anyway, unless they broadcast live of course.

Joseph's facials are so good. Crazy to think that was hidden away under the Abyss mask.

I didn't even know Abyss was Joseph Parks , hes well funny, his facial expressions are hilarious.

Agree with the above about the crowd, was loads of atmos. in there, as the place was packed out, only thing i didn't like, was when the crowd were coming up to the guard rail around the ring, the security were straight up moving them back, and getting them all to sit down, unlike in the impact zone, where they are all stood up around there all the time.

That kept catching my eye regarding the crowd and stewards, it seemed the crowd were allowed to go to the rail during talking segments but had to sit during matches, which was probably the event staffs fault, either make them sit for all the event or let them stand.

I think at first the plan was for Joseph Parks to be a temporary character leading to the big Abyss reveal but they looked at the reactions and performance he was giving as Parks and decided to let him run with it for as long as it works.

I still think he will have a role to play in the eventual defeat of A&E, and for a long time I was convinced that was going to be him realising he was Abyss and destroying them all, but they may not go with that after all.

Some people may like all of the extra facial expressions, and his mannerisms, but to me they are just waaaayyyyyy ott, his character is just not believeable in any sense.
Having him go to wrestling school, and be trained, and then to just be ready to go after about a couple of weeks worth of training, and be doing "Black Hole Slam", I mean come on!
There is just no sense of reality with the character, I know that there was very little sense of reality with "The Monster" either, but at least there was a sort of backstory in a Undertaker or a Kane sort of way, not one that was trying to take itself too seriously, like this character is.

Some people might like this character, fine, it just isn't for me, that is all. I much prefered his previous character, and the sooner they get around to bringing that back, the better.

It's just a comedy character that will result him turning into Abyss, it's all good in my eyes.

Damn. I'm usually in agreement with you.

So many people were sick of Abyss and they're loving Joe Park. Myself included.

You mentioned taking himself too seriously and people knowing who he is (many actual smart fans don't recognize Abyss btw), the whole point is you're not meant to take it seriously. At all.

Of course its silly, but its pro-graps, its meant to be silly at times.

Plus we still have the pay-off of coming back to Abyss, if and when people get bored, which they probably will, but not anytime soon by the look of things.

I guess it is something different for him to get his teeth into, but for me anyway, (I guess that I must be in a minority), it has just gone on for too long now, I could just about take it for a couple of weeks, a month tops, but it has been for a while now, and it just doesn't do it for me.
I have tried to give my reasons in one of the above posts, and they are still the same now, if others like and enjoy this character fine, it just isn't for me.

Don't get me wrong there are plenty of things that I am enjoying about TNA at the moment, but I just usually fast foward the Parks, Parks, and errr Parks company bits (how many Parks are there in this company anyway???).

Tna doing 1.15/1.16's, their best for a year.

Can't believe WWE is getting 3 times the viewers TNA is getting, hopefully 2013 will be the year to get close to 1.5's ratings.

This is what is being reported when WWE heard TNA where going on the road.

According to PWInsider.com, despite WWE's continued claims that TNA is not competition to them, it's being said that when TNA announced it would be taking Impact on the road, WWE began calling a number of mid-sized venues and placing them on hold so TNA cannot book them for events.

It's also being said that if TNA does in fact run shows every Thurday night that WWE is considering running events on the same nights in the same areas, possibly in an attempt to lure fans away from TNA.

If they do that then they're arseholes! They must be still having nightmares from 1996/97 when WCW took them on and nearly had them beat.
