I would of thought TNA would of booked all the venues for the year by now. If this is true WWE must be seeing them as more than a theme park attraction.
And here was me thinking Vinne Mac didn't see Dixie as a threat.

Good point, TNA will have venues booked well in advance but WWE could still make an "impact" (no pun intended) with a rival show.

WWE aren't exactly getting huge crowds theirselves, averaged around 4,500 last year if you exclude Wrestlemania.

I have alway liked the idea of TNA going to more unusual venues, like the hardrock cafe in Vagas or large night clubs somthing to set them apart from WWE. The Hammerstein ballroom would be great for Impact.

I wouldn't call them that, they (the WWE) are just looking to maximise their income streams, so I don't really see why they should get stick for doing so, they are after all a business first and foremost.

I can understand that,but for a company that didnt see them as a threat,it does seem a little underhanded.
Im sure Vince said at one point that wwe is a entertainment company while TNA is a wrestling company.

Don't think that is one way traffic though. TNA by coincidence I'm sure are touring the NY/NJ area in the run up to Wrestlemania. They're doing a show in north NJ during WWE Fan Axxess.

I'm sure it's coincidence and they're not trying to use the hype in the area for pro wrestling.

It happens all the time,their is never that many wrestling fans in the one area at the same time. but thats different its not like TNA are trying to take over WWE big event. If i was going to WM I would love to make it one big wrestling weekend catching all the wrestling going on,not just WWE and then on sunday go to the big one WM30.

That's what I'm doing. Got a day of Fan Axxess. going to see TNA. couldn't get a ticket for the hall of fame at MSG but am going to Mania. That's my wrestling budget blown for the year but it will be good.

I just said it because it does seem like TNA is hoping some of the interest in Wrestlemania will rub off on them.

WWE have always thought of TNA and UFC as competition. It's just they don't want to admit it. I did see something about WWE reserving arenas last week to mess with TNA. I believe of the arenas that WWE doesn't have exclusivity on, they have a 90 day clause in the contract they sign with the arena in order that competition can't use it.

With TNA doing Impact live one week and taped another this might not be as big a problem as it could if they were live every week.I hope its not true but if it is then thats business I guess

I think that's a very naive opinion - both companies are in the US and specialise on wrestling, of course privately WWE would've been keeping tabs on TNA since it's inception and marking it down as a threat - publicly however it's the "don't care" line that is rolled out.

TNA is terminating its lease with Universal for the Impact Zone at the end of March. This is why they have announced that they are running three more days of tapings for the pre-taped PPV series on March 17th, 23rd and 24th.

I hope with TNA coming to the new hydro arena in glasgow, a TV taping would be great
Scotland never has had a taping here.

You would think so. The crowds here in the UK always help improve the show. UFC have already said they would run a show at the Hydro as well.

They did this week in Manchester, much better than the near silence of the Imact Zone, and looked like someone was going to be flung out during the tables match, as kept standing up, could see the steward going over all the time, and looking like he was bollocking him, was well funny

The only issue I have with the UK taping is that they look like a house show with cameras. No set, pretty low rent as far as tv production goes. A pity, because the crowds are very good (both numerically and as far as loudness) and deserve better imho.

UFC have been claiming they'll do a show in Glasgow one day for donkeys years. Whether the weegies would pay UFC ticket prices- face value tickets for their last UK show in Nottingham were £75-£225- is questionable I'd guess.

I loved the 90's feel to the show, WWE and TNA at the Impact Zone are very well produced but it feels sterile to me, the 90's always felt more "real".

I have always thought that,If you have pyro at the beginning and for some of the wrestlers entrances for TV, then you should really have that when your on the road. Even the PPVs that are taking on the road the production values are down.

I hate the entrances in the UK TV tapings, the way the camera follows behind them as they're coming out. How come they're able to get proper entrance cameras for the bloody Impact Zone but can't for shows on the road?!

I know WWE have a bigger production budget, but when Raw/Smackdown are here you get all the if the TV experience. Here it's like TNA just show up with a few cameras.
