After WWE's stinker of a year so far, I decided to try and get back into TNA in the last month or so, and while there are some things I do like in there, the majority of the shows feel like a real chore to get through. I recorded Slammiversary and I just can't get into it so far, I don't know what it is. The AJ/Bully match is next, which hopefully will keep my interest as I've heard good things. I really want to like TNA but I just feel a bit meh about the whole product.
In the main event you've got the dinosaur Sting, and Anderson who I absolutely detest. It's almost getting to 'X-Pac heat' with me, where I don't hate him cos he's a heel, but cos I genuinely don't want him on my tv screen! Fingers crossed it's a short reign.
The most interesting character right now is Bully Ray. I never thought I'd say this about a Dudley Boy but damn, give that guy a huge push! I'd actually like to see what he could do in a World Title feud.
With very little going on that I care about in both WWE and TNA right now, I've been watching a lot more old-school stuff on dvd and online. This morning I was watching Starrcade '93, and over the weekend I plan to watch the Randy Savage 3 disc dvd. I've been watching wrestling on Sky since 2001 and have been a fan since 1991 (albeit with a 4 year gap where I lost interest), and I cant ever remember being this disinterested in the top two promotions.
