Oh thanks for telling me this I forgot that only 2 of the iMPACTS where before the Genesis PPV. I would have just watched them all otherwise. Thanks

Why couldnt they put Genesis on Saturday as a one off.

Glad to have helped.
Not sure if this forum is SPOILER free as the old bravo one was meant to be.

And as I have listed the logic viewing for fans that haven't watched any TNA online, then spoiler tags would be appreciated until viewed (not aired) and we are back upto date.

Thanks

A scary time. Even more scary is how many times the WCW title was vacated!

Re - the Gooker Awards.

I think wrestlecrap had high hopes for TNA but now I think they are in the midst of composing the 'Death of TNA' book. A lot of people see the same things happening here, albeit in slow motion.

We'll see how it develops

TNA Explosion starts 2am on the 5th Feb (or late friday night if you prefer).
Hope these explsions are the missing ones and are shown in the correct order.
Without any description in the sypnosis apart from the same thing every week, it is hard to tell whether to WATCH or AVOID.
Any help?

Given the situation, i'm willing to just chalk off Genesis as a miss and just follow the iMPACTS and Xplosions through.

Do agree though that some broadcasters state what episode is being shown (usually a number) but many just leave us to guess with the weekly generic description.

As for what PWI said, it's not that big of a deal. Change might actually be good in this case.

Spike told them to book the angle though, which makes TNA look silly.

Sting's price for TNA will have no doubt just gone through the roof. Wouldn't surprise me if WWE are offering him silly money just to do the HOF at this point.

Could just be a one night deal.

I still maintain the 40 man Rumble just reaks of desperation. Adding 10 to a tradition for extra viewers. Wonder if Rumble 2012 will have 40?

That said, purely out of principle I've not watched / followed / supported WWE for about 5-6 years, nit planning on starting soon, whatever they do.

The whole point of booking them is so they can't go on TNA.

Although apart from looking silly with Spike, this doesn't matter at all. Neither man would draw any money or make a blind bit of difference to TNA's ratings.

Oh yeah, Bryan Alvarez talks about the death of TNA book all the time on his podcasts. It'll come, I don't doubt.

That's true to an extent - however I wonder whether with Wrestlemania being in Atlanta this year, how ex-WCW alumni members of the MEM might be used in the TV lead up to the Wrestlemania weekend including the HOF.

Does it really matter if the two guys mentioned are being used by WWE? As has been said, they wont draw ratings or add anything to TNA apart from the wage bill. They may as well use Crimson and Matt Morgan as part of some new MEM.

It really doesn't make any difference. Neither man can put on a great match anymore and i imagine with WWE's PG audience, it will go right over the audience's heads anyway. The commentators are gonna have to sell to them who they are and try and make it sound like they are a big deal. Something big is happening and the people should care and cheer and that's ok if you have a Jim Ross doing it but.....i'm not so sure their current announcers are that good at selling what is going on in the ring or who is in the ring.

Well luckily TNA have taped all their TV so far so they have time to come up with something different, that's if these guys were ever included in the storylines anyway. The return of the MEM has not been confirmed anyway it's just people assuming that is what's going to happen. You need to give TNA credit, very few things leak out about their storylines.

That's some what of an ironic statement, given someone in TNA almost certainly told someone in WWE that those 2 gentlemen were due to tape for TNA on Monday but didn't have contracts.

Although if the WWE doesn't care about TNA as they claim why would they care?

It's not like it was a secret these guys were out of contract.

It would be interesting to see if they turn up and what sort of deal they would of signed. As surely TNA would of provided decent money and a longer contract than the WWE offering them sometime in the Rumble. Maybe they got the no compete clause wavied or will now end up doing a proper storyline.

people forget that vince and nash are still on very good terms, didn't nash watch the last couple of wrestlemania's from vinces private box???

nash will be on a short term deal, probably 6 months.
Booker T might be a abit longer since wwe need some star power at the moment.

As for the adding nothing to ratings etc, yes and no.
More people will be ordering the rumble tonight just to see who else is gonna return in the rumble match, extra buy rates means more money. TNA might have had a rating spike but long term is too hard to predict in wrestling, but TNA did do a good rating last thursday.

WWE can afford these 'stars' on short term deals because it has the merchandising, crowd attendance and proft to back it up and the WWE seem to be on a bit of a nostalgia craze (it makes money) of late

TNA on the other hand, simply can't at the moment.

It's positive for TNA but I'm worried they'll just look elsewhere for a 'star name'

Spike's point is probably 'Casual Viewer A has heard of Kevin Nash, he used to watch 90s/early 00s wrestling so he might tune into us. Casual Viewer A has no idea who Matt Morgan is and is less likely to tune in

But seriously, TNA need to tell Russo to stop doing faction taking over things angle. It's stale as hell with the current roster

This might just be a short contract, coinciding with the rumoured WCW angle. Otherwise I can't see why they would bail out of their sweet deals with Spike TV. Personally I can't imagine either superstars pushing ratings up or increasing buyrates in 2011, but collectively the WCW angle would probably boost interest in Wrestlemania.

But I have to laugh at Nash with brown hair, looking younger and aesthetically pleasing. Shows the world of difference between both companies.

Main Event Mafia could consist of Sting, RVD, Mr Anderson, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle.
