TNA makes 2 apperances on the latest ratings for Challenge w/e July 31st. Number 1 and number 10.

1 TNA PRESENTS IMPACT WRESTLING (TUE 2202) 231
10 TNA PRESENTS IMPACT WRESTLING (SAT 2100) 122

Rating is down from the last one which was a record high for the UK but still good though.

The amount of people still watching the Saturday broadcast makes the move back to Saturday perfectly justifiable.

The last two Spin Cycle's have been bloody awful!

What is 'Spin Cycle'?

Spin Cycle is a regular feature in the TNA Xplosion show in which Jeremy Borash is a host and they have a panel of 4 wrestlers (or others) answering a few questions about their lives or their opinions. They are usually semi out of character so it is intended to be something of a glimpse behind the scenes. Occasionally you get a snippet of something interesting but usually it is mostly rubbish which is why I have expressed reservations about the feature.

Moving Xplosion to Wednesday nights at 10pm is now clumsy because when they have the PPV's on Wednesdays (once a month approx) they have to put Xplosion back to midnight on Tuesday after Impact where it was before. This is what happened this week and you had Borash saying during Spin Cycle that Xplosion is now in a "prime time" 10pm slot on Challenge TV in the UK. Perhaps they should have put it on Thursdays at 10pm or something instead.

Why was Hardcore Justice called Hardcore Justice if there were no hardcore/gimmick matches on the card? I thought Hard Justice changed it's name last year for the ECW reunion PPV.

Why is Eric Young STILL floating about with the old Heavyweight Title?

Why is Christy Hemme the ring announcer? She is absolutely awful. Backstage interviewer she's fine. Ring announcer - shit.

Why does Sting care if Hulk Hogan is a good guy or a bad guy? He still managed to win the World Title even though HH/EB were in charge so why does he care that Dixie Carter isn't in charge?

Apologies for the questions but these are just a few things that have been bugging me about TNA.

I agree with your first point - I can only think they kept it changed because 'Hardcore Justice' sounds better than 'Hard Justice', which sounds like a porno.

Eric Young stole the old title and some point and floats around with it, I think it's kinda funny. I'm not a fan of comedy acts but Eric Young is golden.

Christy Hemme is hot and I dont' see what makes her a bad ring announcer

Sting just wants to see the 'old' Hulk Hogan back and the end of Immortal. Basic heel/face storyline, it's not difficult.

*Facepalm*

What an awful audience, finish and outcome that was. I think the empty arena match probably had more of an atmosphere...

Sadly Desmond Wolfe is no longer with TNA. I loved the guy as well, but he was forced onto the shelf by a mystery medical condition that was never disclosed to the public, but rumours flew around the internet that it was Hepatitus C. After about 6 months away he was brought back to Xplosion in a GM/Commissioner-type role, but that only lasted a few weeks before he was released a couple of months ago.

The PPV was terrible but at least Winter is Knockouts Champion and they improved their PPV presentation by switching the ring and rope colour.

August 25th, they recorded the next three weeks of Impact on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week in the Impact Zone, so it's going to be the final show before No Surrender.

X Division opener, tag titles match, six man tag and main event were all decent if unspectacular matches. Devon/The Pope, Knockout's matches and Crimson/RVD were piss poor. Mediocre PPV overall.

Swerve in the main event was a bit predictable and rushed, and hurt the good work before it IMO. But I guess they need a new direction for Angle and he always plays an excellent heel. All I could think was Hogan is looking way too old for this shit!

What I dont get is Christopher Daniels

He comes out with Fortune. The fortune music says Fortune 4. (Its 4!!!)

The 4 being Beer Money Kazarien and AJ Styles, Why the hell is Daniels flicking around the fortune logo with his hands. He isnt a part of it. Its Fortune 4 not 5!!

It was a poor PPV, most matches were OK at best and the crowd was terrible and sucked the life out of all the good stuff.

Pleased Angle is World Champ again though.

Unfortunately, it's already looking like a failed experiment. So far it's sold less than 400 tickets, and when looking on ticketmaster, you can still get four floor seats together 3-4 rows back on ANY block.

I guess the biggest problem is that they're trying to make the huge jump from FREE at universal to $70 for a floor seat, which is EXACTLY the same as Raw's prices. They'd have been much better off selling them at $25/20/15 and filling the place...

Problem they have is people likely know they'll need the building to look full for tv, and as such it's likely they'll give away a lot of free tickets in the days before the show, so people may well hold off buying to see if they can get in free.
